The only pad I have used and successfully removed the stubborn algae from my tank. Some areas took a bit of scrubbing but it was a success where others haven’t worked so good. Will definitely buy again.

I bought this to help control the diatom population in my 10 gallon after other failed attempts. It works just how it should and does the job nicely. It hasn't scratched the glass and left it crystal clear. It's important to rinse it frequently when using it or else the algae will remain in the tank. It's much better than using a sponge since it's abrasive and requires little effort to free the algae. Would buy again.

This is a great value and cleans the aquarium with one sweep. No scrubbing at all. Just the right size and texture. I kept the little plastic front square from the packaging and after it dries I store it away in my 'aquarium supplies' tote for the next cleaning.Recommend.

Doesn't disappoint for removing organic matter from the glass. However, calcium and lime are a no go. This did not affect the rating because thats not what this is for 😆.I only used this on front glass to remove biofilm, left the other sides for my shrimp! :)

This pad doesn't scratch the plastic on the hob filters or the glass on the aqarium which is great. I wish it was a little more abrasive because even with some serious elbow grease it does a mediocre job. I've found that if I use this once a week it maintains cleanliness but if you're looking to remove the stuck on algae spots an old credit card works the best. I've tried razor blades and they do scratch the glass if the edges are not perfectly flat and obviously not used on the hobs. Algae removal is just a pain but I found that weekly or biweekly scrubbing with this pad does a good job. I don't have a ton of alge but I do have a fully planted tank, ferts, and led plant bar light and the alge finds that a favorable environment.

Great product if you're willing to get your hand/arm into the aquarium! Most similars give you this on some kind of stick which can be awkward for scrubbing tough spots, but this is simple, straight forward and works great!

I needed a smaller algae pad, without a handle, for cleaning a small fish bowl where a few mountain guppies live. I know the directions say it's for glass only - but okay, I'll admit it - the bowl I use it to clean is plastic and so far no issues. What's especially nice is the small size allows it to easily clean the interior edges where algae likes to be stubborn and hard to remove. This little pad was just what was needed for cleaning up our 2 gallon bowl.

I've been using this for a couple of years on my betta tank's glass. My betta prefers a glass jar to a tank (I have tried both), and this makes sure that during his weekly cleanings, the glass is very clear of algae!It works really great, and I would definitely recommend it for glass!

I was a little reluctant to buy this but I'm happy I did! It works really well, my one tank has been having problems with algae and no matter how many times I cleaned or whatever I tried, it did not help. My water would still have a greenish tint and the algae would still be there. I used this pad and it worked amazing...it was really easy to get the algae off the sides, especially in the places really thick with algae. It didn't take an insane amount of scrubbing either, the algae came right off. Super happy I purchased this!
