I don't use amalgam, but I use an amalgamator to mix cements. When my old, noisy amalgamator died recently, I couldn't believe how expense a new one would be from the regular dental suppliers. So I checked Amazon and found this one at half the price. It's a high quality machine and I can't believe how quiet it is. Definitely 5 stars in my book.

I dislike and feel really upset. The equipment arrived with a big problem when you turn on the machine not working. Be careful don’t buy it.

Returned. As soon as we turned it on it dug deep gouges in our countertop due to a metal piece on the bottom that was protruding. Useless, and extremely loud.

This triturator works perfectly for what I need!!! I use it for mix IRM and cement capsules. I see no reason to spend 5-6x as much so I can get it from a Dental company!! Also love the color!!!
