One primary issue with these types of lenses is that the way these products work to keep it attached to your phone also presses against either the volume or power key. For phones like the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, using this has it pressed against my volume button and causes the phone to shoot 100 burst photos at a time. When it is pressed down, I also can't manually take photos. To fix this, I have to turn off the volume key shortcut. Moving it up and down also makes it likely it will rest on the power button. On the subject of the microscope lens, I really enjoyed using it. After getting it set up, I can zoom in and see each individual lint fiber on my cotton bedsheet. It's very nice to see small details. The product comes with a light surrounding the lens because it blocks your camera's flash and any natural or surrounding light as you need to be up close. The product can be charged with the included cable.I'm giving this a three star because of the issue I stated regarding the grip and how it interacts with phones. I'd suggest for the product maker to create a similar product that clips on the top and bottom of the phone while still having the rail system to allow it to move in the X and Y axis.

First off I have no idea where the magnifications come from. I got both the 100x and 150x, and neither is anywhere close to that magnification. You can see examples of both "100x" and "150x" in the images I shared of a penny and the vascular structure of an aspen leaf.Pretty sharp images for handheld. Depth of field is of course thin with these as expected, but it's reasonable. One other thing to consider with devices like these is since it's an add on lens, as the magnification goes up, the field of view shrinks. So again if you look at the images, you'll see the field of view of the 100x is much larger than that of the 150x. So in order to compare, you have to resize the higher magnification 150x image to match that of the 100x to really see the difference. But of course with any cropping & enlarging, you also lose some optical sharpness in the process. So you get higher magnification but a little less sharpness with similar sized images. Of course this also depends on the quality of the phone as well.I mounted these lenses on an old S10e in a case, and they fit great. Easy to add and remove. The addition of both warm white and bright white ring lights is great. Very useful! They also include a "black light" which is fun to play with. But it's not really a true black light. The 100x maintains a bit of distance between the lens & subject while the 150x (and 200x) are basically touching the subject. This can add some stability if using on a table with flat subjects. But it's too intrusive with plants / flowers so in that respect I prefer the 100x more.Overall these are fun to play with, but I wouldn't consider them serious tools. That's unfortunate because I think they're designed really well and have some really cool features. Only you can decide if the 3-pack is worth it. But if you just want one I'd get the 100x. And if you need actual 100x - 200x magnification look elsewhere.

This is a fun and useful add-on to make super closeup shots. It comes nicely packaged, with a foam cutout, so it looks good to present as a gift, and it’ll make a good place for storage too. ((It also comes with a little velvet bag.) The device is made with metal rails and the plastic parts seem sturdy. The side rails clamp onto your phone with a strong internal spring, so there’s no chance this device will fall off the phone. (There are some included sticky pads for a more permanent attachment.)Locating the exact alignment can require a bit of fiddling about. What worked best for me was to roughly position the lens along the rails, and lock it down with the thumbscrew, then watch your camera while wiggling the device up/down the length of your phone. It’s a bit tedious, but you only really have to do this once - the thumbscrew will remember the horizontal position. After that, it’s very simple to just snap the device on/off your phone.Photos using this device are surprisingly decent, much better than I’d expected for the price. The depth of field is shallow, and focusing relies on distance from the subject - the range is extremely close, about 10-20mm between the subject and the face of the device. At this range, it’s possible to get decent shots with bright indoor lights, but the light will be at an extreme angle due to the large shadow from the phone. This adds some shadows that can highlight small features, light the roughness of paper in my included pics. Fortunately, this device also includes a clever rechargeable light, and it works great. The light is well-matched to the lens, as it provides plenty of light without blowing things out. The light level is selectable both for intensity and for warmth (around 5000k and 2700k).The attached pics were taken with a Galaxy A53, which is considered to have a good camera for a mid-range phone. The subjects are from the instruction manual for the device, notably “1.3” with the green arrow. There were no corrections or filters. I was able to get decent shots right out of the box, without any special settings. On my phone, both the macro lens and the main lens worked well with the device. For me, switching over to manual mode gave slightly better results, especially when using “focus peaking”.

Really surprised me. The mount is very secure on my iPhone and I’m having a blast taking photos of teeny tiny things. I think the 200x lens is my favorite but the set is very good. Recommend getting another photo app. I’m using the ReeFlex Photo app on an iPhone 15 pro and shooting at 48MP.
