The top end of the slim glass tube is stuffed with cotton, which prevents the reaction between AgCl and electrolyte when temperature changes. I was impressed with the build quality and functionality of this probe. These things don't last forever and this is a good value for a small diameter glass probe compared to other options. Nicely packaged with a storage tube that seals to the barrel.
