right out of the box the hose had a leak at the fitting. CHINA is way over crimping the crimp sleeve. 2 hose like this and I've had the same issue each time. If you need a dependable product for heavy irrigation use, buy american made. I fell for a cheap price and paid for it.

haven't used it yet, but bought it for a backup sump system as we have had flooded basements before. The product looks solid.

Hose started out great. Have purchased 5-6 rolls of this starting in the spring, it is now start of fall. What I found out is hose is very UV reactive and within a week or so it turns completely green. It has also gotten hard, is now hard to roll and it cracks easily if you fold it. Very disappointed, have to replace it all.

50ft of hose for $50cdn a great deal; even if the connections leaked a little and the material is flimsy; It conveys water quite well; hence does the job it was purchased for

We were replacing our "heavy duty" discharge hose several times per season. At $30+ each, they were not a good investment. This hose is the real deal. It feels more like a firefighters hose than a cheap balloon. Although the metal fittings didn't fit our pool filter, we trimmed them and used the hose. After several heavy rainfalls, the hose has worked like a charm and shows no signs of brittleness or weakness.

This Apache 1.5 inch x 50 feet hose was exactly what we needed for our submersible pump to drain off excess water off of our in ground pool after recent rain storms. The larger diameter hose is so much faster than trying to use the average garden hose like we were. The 50 foot length connects perfectly to our 25 foot drain hoses, and is generous enough to make it out to our front yard to drain into the gutter. It has very quality connectors that are brass, and the actual hose is a very sturdy material that dries easily, and we have not had any leaks or problems. Would Definitely buy it again!

Threads perfectly in to my Hayward sand filter's multi-port valve for the ultimate backwash/waste hose! Fittings are apparently no longer so poorly attached with the small clamps that people are complaining about. The fittings are now crimped on to the hose. It's sad that you pay about have the cost of this hose for those cheap garbage backwash hoses which still have to be clamped to a fitting of some kind and they always leak or blow out entirely. This hose will most definitely last at just over twice the cost.

I bought this hose in July and found it very practical to use, especially since it's made in the U.S.A. The hose does a great job,I was pleased with the fittings as well. Nothing feels cheap about this hose. As a matter of fact I liked it so much I bought asecond one just after Christmas. A bit disappointed, the new hose is now made in China, the fittings are not the same, althoughthey look and feel similar. The hose body feels less strong, less rigid. I am not trying to say that things made in China are alwaysof lesser quality. But if a company decided to outsource to China it generally means a downgrade and some things have to becompromised. I can only hope that the new hose will not get me any problems. I am reducing my rating to a three and will revisitafter I have used it a couple of times.

This is a good hose for what it's designed to do; Note the metal nozzles and design because they're very nicely made and fixed.unfortunately, it remains collapsed without enough water pressure to push through it. I'm finding ways to use gray water on my flowers, plants and trees, and this hose might help one day, but not until I figure out how to keep it open.

I ordered this hose to move recent rain water away from several large oak trees that I had planted as acorns. As you can see in the picture, it stores flat and makes a compact circle about a foot across when rolled up. I fold mine over in the middle and start rolling it up from the fold so that both fittings end up together on the outside of the roll. Rolling it up from the middle in two layers this way allows the water to evacuate from the ends and takes half the time. Also, once I've gotten the rolling process started, I lay it on a flat surface like the driveway or a board and continue rolling it up on its side. This helps keep the roll tight and straight.Coming up from my pump's discharge, I used three 45 degree elbows in series that ended up directing the pump's discharge back towards the ground at 45 degrees. I ended that with a threaded male 1 1/2" PVC fitting to fit the brass female fitting on the hose. This combination provided a somewhat rounded and rigid exit from the pump, allowing me to attach the hose at an angle that would not kink. The hose fittings are extra thick-walled, which looks like it would be an unnecessary restriction. However, this hose performed excellent and moved a lot of water fast with the pump I was using. I matched this hose up with the Superior Pump 91330 1/3 HP Thermoplastic Submersible Utility Pump, also from Amazon. This combination worked so well that I ordered one more of each to hurry up and finish the job before my trees got too stressed from sitting in water. This hose is an excellent value for the money and I recommend it.
