I suppose this product might work if you know what you're doing. It's almost impossible to figure out. There are some instructions but pretty much worthless. If a person has no experience fixing an electric bike motor, do not purchase this. Once I understand what's wrong with my ebike then I can use this product to learn how to use it. On a broken bike there are just too many variables to use this product unless you know how to use it.

I was able to find the shorted Hall sensor on my ebike hub motor. The test box will also tell if the motor is a 60 degree or 120 degree winding. The five volt regulator was also bad on the controller. The Hall sensor was shorted so possibly it took out the 5v regulator. This inexpensive little tester saved me a lot of time.

Vague and incomplete instructions , it says disconnect control box then turn key on .Why??? Control box is disconnected ! Without clear instructions product is useless

The one I received, the battery was dead. I opened it up, replaced the battery and still didn't work. I thought it was my motor. After fiddling with the wires that connect to the battery, the lights started flickering. So, there is a bad connection with the wires. Also, to replace the battery in this thing, you have to unscrew the back of the device. What a pain.
