I needed an extra set of trigger/transmitters for a shoot I was doing, but I didn't want to blow my budget. This set worked great, and was just what I needed, and the shoot went on without a hitch!

I used this trigger with a Sony A7Riv and a few types of wireless flashes. I found that the connection was strong, and consistent in a range of studio and outdoor conditions. It sits well on my hot shoe and I don't have any concerns that the (minimal) weight will harm the hot shoe connection.Overall as a cheap wireless trigger it works fine - but be aware that you need to be sure there is good compatibility across devices in your set up

I was skeptical about this product, because I wasn’t sure if it would hold up to the rigorous shooting that I do as a volume photographer. Luckily, I was able to test it out in my home before heading to my job and everything worked perfectly. I shot over 150 Headshots with this system in a weekend and everything worked perfectly. I definitely recommend to grab even as a back up if you don’t want to use it as your main.

Not a make I'd heard of before and I have to wonder if they'll stick around, but I was on the hunt for a simple trigger/receiver set with no TTL whistles and bells just to get my ancient Vivitar 283 (see additional note below) flash working wirelessly with my Mamiya 6. I have other triggers by Godox, but I couldn't get the flash to sync above 1/125th sec with those, even though the camera should sync at all speeds up to 1/500th. I decided it was because the Godox triggers are designed to do other things and a millisecond delay in firing was causing it not to sync properly. So I purchased the AODELAN set for a few reasons:1. Simple connections so probably more reliable.2. Not the absolute cheapest on the market, so I hoped it'd be half-way decently made.3. Takes standard AA batteries in both trigger and receiver (unlike almost all other trigger/receiver sets)So far, it's scored on all three points. The connections are reliable (I recommend setting the trigger to ALL channels as I managed to accidentally change channels on the receiver and missed a shot), the trigger shoe is metal and the overall feel of the plastics is solid. The switches maybe feel a little less solid, but they move/click with positivity and don't feel as though they'll fail as long as they're not mistreated. The battery choice is perfect. A lot of triggers seem to incorporate built-in batteries, so if they ever lose their charge that's that. And the receivers use AAAs which are a pain. You normally buy AAs in fours and they're universally available, so another plus for this set.I haven't checked the range of this particular set as it's just for a bit of off-camera flash, not over vast distances. I don't see any reason to doubt the manufacturer's specifications.Additional note: When using older flash guns, be aware that some have quite high trigger voltages (that's the current which passes across the shoe contacts when the flash is fired). My 283 has a trigger voltage of just over 7v and that's fine for these triggers. Some older flashes can have trigger voltages in the 100s and they might fry the circuit of the receiver unit, so it's worth looking on youtube about how to check the trigger voltage of a flash before purchasing and potentially burning out a set like this.Final note: I always check around other retailers before resorting to Amazon, who I use as little as possible these days. However, on this occasion I'm afraid they were the only choice. That's life, sometimes.

Camera setup:Nikon D850, Sigma 60-600mm set at 6.3, ISO 800. These can be triggered using the Nikon dedicated hot shoe.I just spent an hour or more setting up four Alien Bees Paul Buff units at Towson University’s arena for a high school hoops game about two days after setting up four hot shoe flashes using an older set of Neewer 2.4Ghz wireless transceivers. It wasn’t so much to try lighting the entire floor of SECU Arena but really to test whether Aodelan was even in the ballpark - for that matter in the neighborhood or right next to myself. And I hella wanted these to be somewhat consistent. Even sporadically. Not necessarily all four but even the closest two or even one nearest to myself. And these just don’t cut it. At all. Maybe for studio work close by but I can’t trust these for this year’s spring training photo day.The other night I tried these as well as my Neewer system to see line of sight and through my home wall. The Neewer system triggered more consistently than Aodelan. It seemed to reach further. Yet I had hopes and expectations based on the reviews (as they chatted about studio and camera gear that I’ve been familiar with throughout my 38yr career). Perhaps my hopes were too lofty but I’ll just say that all of that setting up with 2 lights in the mezzanine (opposite the food area, behind scorers table) + two others on the 3rd floor (pointing from executive suites), was worth it in regards to the fact that I am returning these this week. I don’t want them in my gear. When I couldn’t even trigger the flash behind my media table which was perhaps 20 feet away, line of sight, that’s a FAIL. Sure load up with the excuses. Maybe radio interference. Perhaps the receivers were in bad positions. It’s a big place. The batteries weren’t full.Yah, keep chiming in on the excuses. It translates to, these units cannot trigger in real life situations. Period. And I used fresh batteries. By halftime I removed the transmitter and went with available light. For those who know SECU Arena it’s a relatively new venue. But my reason for attempting this was a real world test, not to grab award winning SI-style shots. I was shooting at 1/200th @ f 6.3 (Sigma 60-600mm 6.3) at ISO 1000. For some of the images where some flashes triggered there was plenty of ambient light and hence, motion blur.I shot from the mezzanine and on the floor, moving to center court, both sidelines and beneath baskets. The closest I was on floor was perhaps 70 feet from the nearest. The farthest? A good 150 feet estimated. Sometimes all four triggered. If anyone has painted a court with strobe light the feeling is exhilarating. The results can be superb. The game at the high school gym was more intimate and ising the Neewer triggers I only shot the first five minutes to capture a player for a deadline, but the lighting production is worth the pride of the job. Anyway, it was rare tonight to get all four lights to pop. I still grabbed game action (plus coach images and a nice image of the archbishop) worthy of publishing. But I can’t trust these to perform anywhere near the range that Aodelan claim.Reviews need to be as concise and detailed as possible especially when it’s a negative review. I’ll look to add some of the good and the fail images and please respond if there are any other questions.
