I must say I was overwhelmed with the quality of this set of mics. In the past I purchased a specialty mic from these folks for my reloading bench and was impressed by the workmanship and accuracy so I decided to take a chance on this set. Their instructions actually inform the user on how to check the quality of each unit and what they should expect from each which is good for people who are not familiar with use of micrometers. I checked each mic with the standards they provided then took this set to work to check against standards there. Each of the four mics received were within 1/2 of ten-thousands. My boss and I were simply amazed! I can see the folks at Anytime Tools must take quality assurance very seriously. Anyhow if interested in a nice set of mics check them out.

I have a number of micrometers of varying sizes made both by Mitutoyo and Starrett in my inventory. I've been exploring purchasing a "digi counter" micrometer for a while, but didn't want to commit to purchasing one that cost hundreds of dollars without first getting a feel for its dynamics. This micrometer by Anytime Tools was the answer. It's reliable and works magnificently - at times outperforming some of my more expensive, name brand micrometers. Be forewarned, they are trickier to zero out/ calibrate than the none "digi counter" micrometers. But instructions on how to zero them out come with this tool, which should make that process easier.

I used this to measure the shims on my tappets for my car engine, since the valve train was out of spec. This tool was perfect for measuring the shims so I knew the thickness of them and if I needed to adjust the valves at all. Comes in a nice carrying case as well, would highly recommend

Purchased a couple months ago, works great, built solid, no issues, priced well. Double checked accuracy with a variety of similar measuring tools and calibration blocks. No issues.

This is a great basic micrometer. Cost less than the major brands yet is just as accurate. I have it in a holder stand on top of my tool box for quick checks on critical parts. I restore vintage British motorcycles and this micrometer has served my well through numerus builds.

Works great. Nice price & it's a good tool to have in the box. My main reason for buying it was for getting more exact measurements on rifle barrels & other firearm related work. I like the fact that it's not an battery type tool, or that it's digital. That would be fine with calipers but I wanted a display just like this one has. Very accurate & I'm happy with it. It really helped me get the exact OD measurement on a barrel that didn't come threaded for muzzles & for other accessories. With the information I was able to get, I'll be able to thread the barrels without any problems...

I just started a CNC machining job and I'm in the middle of purchasing all of my tools, I got this thinking it would make a fantastic starting mic.Pros: Accurate, I checked it on some gage pins and it was dead on for all of themGood caseCons: Not a fan of the aesthetics, I don't like the "rugged" feel to it. I want my precision tools to be clean and precise, not bumpy. The ratchet is on the top grip, not the bottom. Personally I prefer to use the normal grip, but I know many people like the ratchet and its harder to reach up there.**The digital display is all messed up on mine. When zeroed out it reads something like 9.975 inches, it also has a bad habit of skipping numbers sometimes, the digital readout is completely unreliable. Will be sending it back for a refund, it's certainly worth the price, but I'd rather spend more for a much better micrometer after seeing this one.
