Wow... not sure what happened here. I have an Anycubic Photon that I have run thousands of prints on for the past 5 or 6 years with zero issues. This pile of junk however... where to start? First gripe is that the FEP film is not replaceable on its own. It comes on a carrier, which is good in principle, but the quality of FEP film installed is very poor and lasts less than 10 prints. There is a "counter" on the printer that warns you that the film should be replaced, but I have yet to have the FEP film last as long as the printer expects it to, I usually have to replace it 2-3 prints before the warning kicks in. The FEP replacements are expensive and not durable at all. The best deal is the 5 pack, which you get for about $30. If you don't replace the FEP film when it first starts showing wear, it will easily crack and leak, then you get the privilege of also replacing the screen cover if any resin gets cured on it.Secondly the LCD screen is garbage. I suspect that it is actually the printer controller more than the screen, but this thing is less than 7 months old and I have had the screen fail 3 times. I wonder if the insulation of the glass to liquid crystal is not sufficient to account for the heat of the UV curing process for the resin or if the machine controller itself causes the failure... not sure, but wouldn't recommend this machine regardless. Anycubic was nice enough to send out a couple of screens, but now customer service seems unwilling to make things right. The screens are lasting ballpark 20 prints before failure... Buyer beware on this printer. You will spend 2X the cost of the printer on FEP film and LCD screens very easily. Definitely spring for the extended warranty pr buy something betterAnother gripe is the file system... what is the deal with not allowing a file structure on this thing? You can't have files I'm folders to make it so that you font have to go through all the files to find what you saved... plus the file organization is random, so files aren't easy to find.

I was so intimidated about setting it up and calibrating it that it sat in a box for a couple months. The instructions aren't the best in terms of that, and I had to watch some youtube videos by users to figure out what I was doing. This is my first 3D printer ever mind you.The slicing program it comes with seems to be a little overexcited about adding more supports. I put some pre-supported models in, and it wanted to add more. So aside from the RERF, I trusted the slicer and let it add some. The print was near impossible to get the supports off of. I wrestled with it for hours and a lot of things got damaged. So my second print I ignored the warning, I stuck with the pre-supports that came with the STL I was printing to see what would happen, and it came out beautifully. I would say if you are new like me, it is probably worth trying some of the 3rd party slicers that experienced people recommend so you can see easier if extra supports really needed added.Ignoring the slicer and the instructions, I think it's a really nice printer and the results are amazing. I'm glad I went with this model to have a decent size build plate. It fills up a lot faster than I thought with the way models needs to be tilted to support. The touch screen controls seem to work well and are pretty user friendly. The machine seems really sturdy and well made. The build plate is really easy to take on and off and secure. The vat is a bit more of a pain than I would like to be able to remove because the screws need to come all the way out. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase and think it was a great deal.

As someone completely new to 3D printing this Anycubic was a lot less complicated than I thought it would be to use. I did thoroughly read the directions and watch a couple videos prior to printing, but once I did I had zero issues with printing with this printer

The auto leveling is a scam. It works one time out of the box, then it’s off and you’re stuck with a piece of expensive junk. Their 1 year warranty isn’t real as most internal parts have 3-6 months warranty and they expect you to be a technician to troubleshoot and replace yourself (if your lucky enough and the defective part is actually covered). Buy something else to save your cash.
