My son can unlatch the piece on his car seat the goes across his chest and he can unbuckle himself from his stroller. However he’s not advanced yet in unlatching this piece. It’s a little more work because there is the piece between his legs, the piece across and chest and now this which we placed just above the chest buckle, but we know he is secure and cannot get out without our assistance. Highly recommended for adventurous toddlers.

The instructions were not helpful. Didn’t really tell me anything. So, I just re-engineered the buckles and they work fine right now. But, I’d love to know how to use them correctly

Fitted fine, and easy to use. But they broke after a few uses. I would avoid and get something a little sturdier.

My son would escape his car seat no matter what I did. He figured out how to loosen the belt to make enough slack to slip out. Once I solved that problem he then figured out how to unbuckle the top buckle. He doesn’t realize how dangerous it was trying to get out of his seat constantly. I was desperate for anything so when I found these I thought maybe these will work at least for a little while until he figures these out. To my surprise, they do work well and after months of using them he still has not been able to remove them himself. I would buy these over and over again and anyone else in a similar situation should do the same. It’s hard to put a price on peace of mind and it isn’t very often it comes this cheap!!!

This product should never be listed as a childproof lock. My 2year old grandson has managed to get them unlocked on his own twice! The company who makes this should know they are leaving their factory not even pushed into the spot that’s supposed to provide the locking mechanism. I had to push it into the necessary spot and it still didn’t stay locked. Bad bad product. My grandson could have gotten hurt since it doesn’t work at all!

These started off as a god send. Kid was furious as they worked perfectly. I was in love. However after a few weeks he had learned how to open them. Turned round one day to him sitting in a big boy seat all nice like nothing was wrong.

My Granddaughter can no longer get her arms out of her car seat or buggy harness, so it works as described. In order to shorten the clip for smaller sizes you have to make quite a large hole in the webbing in order to thread the prong in the clip through. If the webbing on your harness is thick you will not be able to close the clip fastening on the safety strap around both the harness and the extra webbing you have after shortening the length and you will have to trim the extra webbing off. This means that you will not be able to size the safety clip up as your toddler grows. You could buy more webbing to make larger sizes, but it would probably be easier to buy new safety clips. There are two clips in the packet so you could cut one and keep one for later, but I've just put one on the buggy and one on the car seat. I like them, they work well and it's actually not a huge amount of money for a piece of safety equipment.

My 5yo is autistic and the last few months has been undoing the top portion of her 5 point harness constantly while we're driving, despite multiple conversations about how dangerous it is. We got into an accident mid October, where she was thankfully buckled correctly. This was my last straw and I looked everywhere for something to lock the top strap buckle. This was the only thing I found and I was a little skeptical. She's very clever and figured things out quickly. However, she's yet to figure this out and now that she knows she can't get her arms out even if she undoes the buckle, she's stopped trying all together. It's given me peace of mind and I feel so much safer knowing she can't undo her straps anymore! I really wish there were more products for this purpose, but this has been life changing.
