I bought this for my vehicle and followed the instructions for removing and replacing retractable antenna. It worked very easily and considering this price compared to the dealer, there was no question which to try first. The quality feels like the OEM antenna that I removed, which was the original that came with the vehicle.

Used on Lexus SC430. Remove lock nut around antenna. Press and hold AM and DISC buttons, turn ignition to accessory to eject antenna. Insert new antenna teeth on strip facing rear then turn off ignition. once antenna was pulled in I reinstalled lock nut. Done! P.S. helps to have two people ( someone to guide antenna while another turns switch off ).

I was so excited: i was going to have a radio again! Instructions were easy beesy. but the mast wouldn't go all the way down. The existing mast cable (both pieces - we took apart the entire assembly to make sure there was not a third piece) was a foot shorter than the cable on this unit. The instructions say to DO NOT CUT THE CABLE. The cable on this unit is approximately 57 and 3/4" long. I'm not sure if someone put the wrong cable on the mast at the factory or if the package was labeled with the wrong part number or what (part number matched the one that we saw in various YouTube videos). Ultimately, we ended up cutting off about and inch and half to 2 inches and then re-installing the antenna and it finally seated all the way. i'm a bit concerned that all the extra cable is going to be a problem downstream (because this cable is about a foot longer than the one that broke), but it works right now.If anyone knows what length the cable should be for a 1994 ES300 mast, please post it for me and everyone to know.

bent my antenna going through car wash. Bought a replacement through ebay for 15 bucks. Installed, and when it was fully retracted the motor would continue grinding for 15 seconds. seller gave me all sorts of excuse from some 2005 lexus sc430 use different size antenna, to something wrong with your motor, etc. regardless he sent me a replacment charging me 8 bucks this time. Same exact problem.gave up and ordered this from amazon. Same exact size antenna as ebay, but the wired part is a bit stiffer with better teeth. Installed and its perfect. no issues.

I have to tell you first that the seller of this antenna is the best I’ve ever dealt with. I called them before buying this because I was skeptical about the product and the ease of installation that was presented. I talked with Chuck and he told me the antenna was after market, but built to OEM specifications and that his company screens all their products for quality. Anyway, this was the best $20 I’ve ever spent because everything Chuck told me was true, this antenna was installed in 15 minutes, with my granddaughter in the car turning the radio on after I removed the retainer bolt from the old antenna, so it simply raised up while I held onto the old antenna until it completely removed itself. Next, I lined up the new antenna, cable notches pointing to the rear of the car, just like the old one, then fed the new mast through the fender opening until it stopped inside the antenna box. I then told my granddaughter to turn off the radio and presto, the new antenna cable was sucked from the new mast, as I fed the metal portion into the hole until it stopped. Next, I pushed the rubber mast end into the fender hole and tightened down the nut. My granddaughter turned the radio back on and the antenna extended and retracted perfectly. This is a great product from a great seller, so don’t hesitate to buy from them, they will quickly answer their phone and give you any needed guidance. I am still amazed at how easy the repair was, also my radio works perfectly again.

I can't believe how simple this was to repair. If I had taken this to the Lexus dealer, I would have been paying $175-$200. The key is following the directions from another happy customer that bought this product. I will post them here just in case you can't find it.Replacing the AntennaThis is a two-person job.Remove the antenna retaining nut. Be careful not to scratch it.With the key in the ignition switch "LOCK" position, press the "AM" and "DISC" buttons on the radio simultaneously with turning the ignition switch to "ACC". Then the radio "LCD" display will read "ANT" and the antenna mast will hyper-extend, disengaging the cable. You can let go of the "AM" and "DISC" buttons now. With the ignition switch still in "ACC", the new cable is inserted to a full stop into the motor antenna assembly through the mast pipe hole in the body panel, with the teeth on the antenna cable toward the rear of the vehicle. As the person in the driver's seat switches the key to "LOCK", feed the cable and mast pipe in.After it retracts completely, replace the retaining nut.
