a lot cheaper then my bonsai store and a good mix of sizes. Also bought a full roll of the larger size too. You will need that for additional trees. all together you can get 4 to 6 trees done with buying the set and the extra largest wire.

I'll use these wires up, but won't buy again. The coating is extremely smooth and slick, to the point that I'm having trouble gripping it.

This was my first attempt at wiring a Bonzai Tree created from a Juniper Shrub. This set of wires worked well. Each bundle of wire is nicely marked with the diameter which is very helpful as they each can look very similar without a label. The wires are coated too. The storage sack is also very useful when you are finish!

Bonsai wire that does what bonsai wire should do. Husband needed more wire and chose this variety pack. Comes in multiple sizes so he can choose the best one for his purposes - and know which size to reorder for more.

This kit was perfect to help me dive right into the art of Bonsai! I purchased two plants from a local big box store and did ton of reading and YouTubing to learn about soil type, wiring, pruning and more. The best advice I can give so far is learn about the needs of the type of tree you plan to start with. Most bonsais thrive outdoors in sunlight/shade and need good draining soil. And or course, when you’re ready to shape and design your Bonsai composition you need great wire. I didn’t know what size would be best and this kit provided more than enough wire, of different sizes to get me started on my three trees. I still have a lot of fine wiring to do but patience is the game with all things Bonsai. Thanks! I will be ordering more products from Grow a Bonsai Tree Store.

Let's be honest. This is wire we use to get our plants to move into the shape we want. It is actually harder for wire to be bad that good. This is good. Comes in sizes one would want, not enough of the to heavier wire but you can get more. Use the right size and it does the job. Wiring a tree is like painting, they are just a means to an end, it is the artist that gives it value.

The wire variety (thicknesses) is well suited for shaping small bonsai trees. I have used the wire for 2 trees so far, and I have plenty of wire left. My guess is that this kit is sufficient to do as many as 10 small trees. The wire bales come in a soft cloth drawstring bag that makes the wire easy to store between shapings. I would buy again. I plan to replenish from the same supplier.

The wire came in different thickness. Delivery was very fast. It is exactly what I wanted and a good price.I have used some of it on my Bonsai's and it is a good product. Don't think I'll use anyone but Amazon from now on. Free delivery is a big plus. It is obvious they do not tag the delivery price onto your product as this is the same if not cheaper then any were else I searched. Well done Amazon.

This is a great starter set to see how you would use this wire and what size might be worth buying more of separately. I use the wire to shape young citrus trees. It is clear in the marketing, but make sure you realize you’re getting the same _weight_ of each size, so you will have 23 meters of 1 mm wire and 2.4 meters of 3 mm wire. The picture of the wire is after I’ve been using it a while and have used all the 3 mm wire (have to reorder from different company because this one doesn’t sell wire separately that I could find.) The wire cuts and bends easily. It’s kind of fun to work with :) In my experience with citrus, it will manipulate a mature but flexible branch that’s about 2x as thick as the wire. You can add an extra wire to help hold a branch that’s a little too thick or strong. On “beginner usability” — just a warning... if you’ve researched what you’re trying to do, you should already know that leaving the wire on the growing plant too long can make the wire bite into the branch and leave unattractive marks (particularly for bonsai!). The last picture is a warning that too long could be far less time than you think! I got those marks in less than 3 months - but citrus kind of grows continuously more than some slower growing bonsai would. Moral of the story: watch closely if you’re concerned about the marks. They could come much faster and deeper than you expect! (By contrast, I wired a young juniper bonsai 5 months ago and it shows no signs of outgrowing the wire.)I’m glad I bought it. I’ll probably have that 1 mm wire forever unless I use it for something else. I’m currently getting more 3 mm wire and 4 mm wire because my trees are outgrowing these thicknesses quickly.Note to company: a starter kit with say 3-5 m each of 2mm, 3mm, 4mm would be a really nice alternative product that might be more likely to be repurchased because you might use each roll up at a more even rate.
