Sólo con dejarlo en el porta paraguas/botella de mi mochila, para tenerlo a disposición, se rompió todo el sistema de apertura/ cierre. Muy endeble y poco robusto. No lo recomiendo.

I bought this back in 2019 in college to use since it was raining pretty hard recently and upcoming. It's now the end of April in 2023 and this umbrella still works well and wonderfully. It's lasted me through storms and can withstand a lot of wind and I mean enough wind to pull you while using the umbrella. At that point, the umbrella folded and I'm rather thankful it does at that point. Amazing umbrella and it's been to several different countries with me on travels and through hail too. It's withstood all that. Very much considering getting a second one since my family is starting to notice it's the same umbrella for years and I think it might go "missing". Honestly a great deal. One thing I would change is how it closes, it's definitely left a wet spot on my suits when going to interviews and meetings. A small nitpick since it's kept the rest of me dry in storms. Also large enough to have two people under it and small enough to have an excuse to get closer to someone if you're trying to close the distance. The zipper on the cover is also a great addition and has saved me a lot of hassles. The only thing that rusts is the clasp, but I closed it wet. I've let it dry since then and no more rust has appeared or gotten worse. The handle also has a grip texture and material and that has made all the difference keeping this from flying from my hand, slipping away, and shaking water off. The tension or spring has reduced since I bought it, but it's 4 years later. It still shoots out and snaps the water off, just not as fast anymore.

At first I thought $15 was expensive for an umbrella, but I now see that there is a huge quality difference between this one, and the cheap ones you can pick up at any store for $5. The handle is not that thin cheap plastic stuff. It's durable, the perfect size, and comfortable to hold. It has a little grip to it, so it won't slip out of your hand like the smooth plastic ones. I didn't realize how great this feature was until we did an hour walk in the rain. I usually struggle to hold my umbrella. The open/close mechanism is strong. Like if it slips back when you're closing it in front of you, you could break a rib! But it fully opens in a flash, no assistance needed. I haven't used it on a really windy day but I can tell that the pole in the middle is made well. There is no jiggling or play in the umbrella when it's open. The cover is nice quality and has a zipper for easy slip in. This would be good for travel, as it is compact, but is not as lightweight as the plastic ones. However this one will last and function well for years to come. I'm ordering another one!

This umbrella is great and pretty well built. I usually use this for summer and winter. With the rain season approaching and the hot summers, this is definitely a good thing to have. I am not a fan of the hot sun or the heavy rain. The umbrella is pretty sturdy and I tried a wind resistant test and it holds up. Short of a tornado, it does not flip inside out from just sheer wind force which is nice for those windy rainy days. Even with the heavy winds in the bay area, this umbrellas held up pretty well. It does have enough room for max of two people and will cover the person however depending on the angle it will not cover your backpack. I tried walking around with this with my backpack on and the backpack still got a bit wet but I stayed bone dry which is nice. The switch is nice to have to collapse the umbrella. I am very happy with that. I do not have to close the umbrella down when my other hand is carrying my bag or books. It does not happen to splash water when it closes but careful when you reopen it. The button is not super sensitive. This is great because you will not be walking and all of a sudden the umbrella closes or opens on you. The water runs right off the umbrella and it does not take super long to dry which is nice. What is nice is that I am able to brush off most of the water making drying a lot easier. It does also come with a cover when it is being stored so you can keep it looking neat and organized. Overall I think this umbrella is great to have for sunny or rainy weather. It is light and compact while allowing for full coverage.

After going through (and losing) so many pocketable umbrellas over the years, I guess I forgot what a heavy duty umbrella feels like. My first impression after I have taken this umbrella out from the package was that it has quite substantial weight on it and it felt sturdy. Having only used traditional umbrellas, I found that the one-click-open-close mechanism refreshing - no more wet hair when trying to get into the car. It took a while for me to get used to the closing gesture since the spring is quite strong, but it was easy after I figured out to use both endpoints.I thought it would be much larger than many pocketable umbrellas being at 42 inches across, but it is only 12 inches when collapsed. It can easily fit two people under and the handle is solid and comfortable to hold. One thing I felt weird about was the shaft has a slight bounce due to the fact that it is relying on the spring's extension to stay open. I don't have any problem so far though, especially with the Teflon coating, nothing is staying and weighting the top down. But it might be a problem if using it under high wind.
