Notes

1. For optimal use, please ensure your laptop's USB-C port supports DisplayPort Alt Mode and Power Delivery.
2. The USB-C PD-IN port is dedicated to charging only and does not support data transfer or video output for devices such as hard drives, headphones, speakers, or monitors.
3. When connected to a PD wall charger, this USB-C hub consumes 10W. Therefore, if you connect a 100W wall charger, only 90W will be available for charging your laptop.
4. 480Mbps ports can be used with USB drives; however, for devices that require high transfer speeds, such as hard drives and solid-state drives, we recommend using the 5Gbps port.
5. This hub is incompatible with the Nintendo Switch, Apple USB SuperDrive, and Google Pixel 9 / 7 Series.
6. To fully utilize the display capabilities of the iPad Pro (M1), please connect a USB 3.0 drive to the 5Gbps USB-A port.

Decent port replicator for your phone, iPad or computer. If you need some extra USB-A ports, this is a good choice. Granted, there are plenty of hubs/port replicators that have more and faster ports but this inexpensive Anker hub is a good choice if it has the features you need. You can run an external display at 4K but only at 30Hz, which is a bit of a drawback as most people want to operate at 60Hz. The USB-A ports are slow too, only one of the USB-A ports is capable of anything over USB 1.0 speeds (480 Mbps) and it’s only 5Gbps. Even for the price, this hub is pretty outdated when compared to many other hubs on the market. If you have an older iPad or computer that’s not capable of higher USB speeds, this is a good choice but anything modern or in the past 5 years, you’ll want something that supports faster USB port speeds.

It works fine. Apple prevents this from extending to 2 or more external monitors on one USB port. This will work on one monitor. More than one just mirrors.

I needed an adapter that had an HDMI and more USB ports than my others. This is working fine.

I've always liked Anker products and had good experiences with them (including Soundcore and Eufy products), so when I saw this as this price point, I was all on board. Our previous setup with our Macbook Air had the following connections at our desk:• MagSafe connected for power• a USB-C/thunderbolt to DisplayPort cable for video• a USB-C to USB-A converter to a simple USB 2.0 hub for the webcam, keyboard, and power for the speaker.Every time we removed or docked the Macbook, we'd have these 3 connections (and a mess of cables nearby). We now have this single hub connecting to the Macbook and the following connected to the hub, hidden away:• USB-A 2.0 Port - keyboard• USB-A 2.0 Port - power for speaker that's connected to the monitor• USB-A 3.0 Port - Anker C200 webcam• HDMI - cable for the QHD monitor, also used for sound• PD-IN - a USB-C charging cable connected to the original Macbook Air chargerWe've had this setup for a couple of weeks now and things are working great. I've got no complaints. If you need a simple desktop docking setup and only want to use a single USB-C connection for your Mac, this is the way to go.

I have approximately 421697523 wires on my desk from chargers, dual monitors, power cords, etc., so I was looking for something smaller than my current docking station, because I was only using the USB-A and HDMI slots. This was the perfect solution, and a great price.

This compact, impressively engineered, solid-feeling and very functional dongle is the best bang-for-your buck I’ve ever had. It is small, every port works, it supports my LG monitor in clam-shell when using my M1 MacBookPro. The 90W power pass-thru allows me to keep one USB-C port available on my MacBookPro. The dongle provides two USB 2.0 ports for peripherals and one USB 3.0 port for rapid data transmission. It makes a wonderful travel accessory - you can’t even notice you’ve brought it along. I’ve long been an Anker charger and cable fan; this fine bit of engineering further solidifies my appreciation of their brand.PRECISE RATING: 5 (great at doing what I need, several exceptional features/characteristics, definitely buy again)RECOMMENDATION: If you are considering it - get it! Great buy for this quality.(As always, I will report back if there are any durability or performance issues with additional use.)PHOTO INFO (photos are loaded in order, but may be rearranged when finally posted):1) Top view (relative size)2) Port viewI hope you found something informative and useful in this review. I have become very brand loyal to Anker over the years, and they have never let me down. This USB hub is no exception - high-quality material, and the ports are all clearly labeled. The ports are the correct size, so there weren't any problems with devices not plugging in all the way or feeling loose while in the hub. No issues with anything I have plugged into it, great general purpose hub to have for your laptop. Happy with this and would definitely recommend!

First - I am completely satisfied with this hub, use it every day now, and would definitely order it again.Second - I had not fully read the description when I ordered it and thought, incorrectly, that the extra ports were USB-C. They are not. For me, this is a WIN - I needed a hub with multiple 'old school' USB ports to recharge my army of legacy devices. I had ordered this primarily for the HDMI port, but getting those extra charging ports is a huge bonus for me, particularly for travel. I always travel with an HDMI connector for my MacBook air for watching shows in hotel rooms, etc. (you can almost always disconnect the HDMI cable from the hotel TV, though sometimes they make it VERY hard). At any rate, even though I had another HDMI adapter I am now using this one solely at home - it works seamlessly and is compact on my desktop. I highly recommend getting two of these - one for home and one for travel (and maybe a third for an office if you are one of those unfortunate souls who has to trudge into a mini prison every day).
