This is a great stone and works perfectly. Soaked it in water a few minutes and got to work. Using circular motions I had an edge on my Estwing axe that literally will shave hair from my arm. The size of the stone fits well in my hand and the leather carry case is a good addition. Would highly recommend!!!

Carrying a stone or file while hunting, camping, or cutting firewood has always been a necessity for a number of reasons. Your survival knives, axes, whatever cutting tools you carry or use while out away from home will need some sharpening. This stone has been a game changer. Easy belt carry or pack carry. Large enough to grip in hand, yet shaped well enough to see the work you’re doing. I’ve used this every day to keep a good edge on my splitting maul for this winter’s firewood, and it’s still holding its original size (it’s not chewing through the stone at a high rate). Highly recommended for anyone in the field that needs a reliable stone, and anyone that wants something professional to have with you on any occasion that requires keeping tools sharp.

I bought a diamond coated steel plate from sharpal and had no luck at all. This on other hand sharpened every knife I have included my hatchet that now shaves my arm. It's made of corrundom which is one of the hardest stones on earth that includes sapphires and rubys in its family. Buy this stone and you'll love it for all your sharpening needs and it's only $15. Comes with nice leather case that goes right on my belt. You won't go wrong purchasing this wet stone I promise. I used circular motion to sharpen all my knives and hatchet and axe. Very happy customer 😀. 100% recommend this baby.

I've never used a product like this before, so I read and heeded instructions to do my axe sharpening. Easy peasy, and it did a great job! I was a bit surprised at how much material seemed to grind off the stone's coarse side. But it put a nice fresh edge on my axe, so happy with it!

As a metal detectorist, I dug up this shovel and needed to refinish the edge. I have never used a puck type sharpener before but now I'm hooked on this Angerstone sharpening puck. The beveled edges keep your fingers safe and the dual grits make it easy to get a very fine edge.
