What a great monitor this is for my camera. It is so bright I can see it in mid day sun. It has every option I need on it. And it built with aluminum! All for less than $200 5 stars for sure!!

Finally a fully metal aluminum monitor! Solid, sturdy, doesn't feel cheap. I appreciate Andycine putting inside both HDMI to HDMI and HDMI to micro HDMI so I can use it with my Sony and Canon cameras, the battery that you can charge via USB-C, and.. finally, a good monitor mount!Besides the packaging, I like that the monitor is a touchscreen, with all the waveforms and assists possible, anamorphic de-squeeze here, LUT support, and also it is bright enough to use outdoors.

I needed a monitor for my R6ii without breaking the bank so I jumped on the X5. The build quality sold me initially - it feels very solid in the hand and the buttons are also aluminum. Pressing them produces a tactile response, it genuinely feels more premium than the Hollyland Pyro 7 I use on my Komodo. The screen itself is sharp, has solid color reproduction and is bright enough for outdoor use on a sunny day.One great addition is the hard shell that carries the included monitor swivel mount, HDMI cords and USB-C charging battery. It holds the accessories in a pouch and protects the monitor in a separate area. The X5 has a few surprising features for the pricepoint - namely the anamorphic desqueeze. Overall this monitor far exceeded my expectations given the price and smaller footprint of the brand. If you're a mirrorless video shooter, the X5 won't let you down

I own several ANDYCINE products and was excited to get my hand on the X5.This on camera monitor is all aluminum which looks cool BUT it is heavier than an all plastic. And if you think an all aluminum casing is better in case you drop it, forget it. I dropped a Atmos on the concrete and it was gone. The screen is intact, but the electronics somehow got damaged. So the metal casing don't do much to protect a monitor in case of a fall and it is heaver than plastic for gimbal work. Now, it comes with a case, cable, battery and mount. Really nice kit. The image is sharp and there are all the now traditional input/output (8.4v, 12v, USB C).The touchscreen is OK. On screen menus are REALLY small and somehow hard to touch. It comes with everything you would expect from a professional monitor, including LUTs. Have not tried but anyone that owns a good camera can bypass this by outputting a REC709. So not sure who uses LUT for on camera monitors, which brings me to the next point, color.Out of the box the colors were off, hopefully you can see on the pictures. The monitor was way warmer than the camera LCD. I was able to sort of get it close but it is REALLY hard to fine tune that by touchscreen. Really hard. Perhaps there is a way to do this via software or some other way I don't know, but I was a bit disappointed with the OOTB color. Now, if you shoot log or S-Cinetone (which I do most of the time) monitor color is not really a factor to consider. I use it mostly for focus and exposure.Yes you can pinch zoom the monitor. Very nice.Mine came without the sun hood, which is OK because I don't remember the last time I used a sonhood for a monitor. Nowadays those monitors a bright enough for normal outdoors conditions, and if somehow you are literally under the sun a hood won't make any difference, you need a sun box, or get out of the sun! There are 2 HDMI cables. Full to Full and Micro (crappy old Sony) to Full. The are stiff not god for Gimbal work. But it is a nice to have.Overall, he ANDYCINE X5 is a great monitor that offers a lot of features for its price. It's easy to set up and use, and the bright, clear screen is perfect for monitoring shots in various lighting conditions. The included carrying case is a nice touch, making it easy to transport the monitor and its accessories.

The aluminum casing is awesome and the swivel coldshoe mount is also a nice addition. I would like to see a sun visor included but overall the features are amazing. The false color function I think is a game changer to help you get proper exposure. I can see you might be able to use this in photography as well for a larger monitor but for video this is great.

Honestly, I am super shocked at the value for money here, First of all, you get a hard case, which Actually protects the monitor on like some other brands that doesn’t even include a case. The quality with the aluminum exterior makes it feel very premium, better than the plastic competitors. The monitor gets super bright. It’s actually as good as my Monitor at home which I would normally edit my videos so being able to view my work on that bigger screen at that amount of brightness is absolutely incredible. I even used it on a real interview gig and not only was I impressed but the client and his colleagues were really happy that the images were so bright for them to view. I’m very satisfied with my purchase and I think you will too, if you’re a videographer like myself! Go get this. Btw, I might even make a YouTube video on how good it is!
