It's so short and small, it's definitely just for a beginner who wants to do, maybe mount it overhead or something close to the subject. I wouldn't call it a boom Pole at all. It's barely an extension. But maybe it suits your needs if it it's just going to be mounted close by

Andoer Handheld Microphone Boom Pole, 4-Section Extendable Mic Boom Arm with 1/4'' Screw Adapter, Grip Twist Locks, 45cm to 155cm/1.5ft to 5ft Adjustable LengthThis is a nice lightweight boom pole for audio video applications. The build quality is good but do know this is a lightweight pole and to that aspect the it's more narrow and a bit lighter build than some. That makes it easy to use and transport as boom operators need to shed as much weight as possible for those long days. it is versatile with 4 columns of length and is easy to balance. It lacks a bit of functionality from the competion as it does not contain the cable it'self wich will be completly outside the housing. Know this is not a mic stand but a boom arm more for video or other sound recording applications but will not stand up on it's own. Overall for what it is this is a great value for the money and I am grateful to have it.

For the price, I think it is a very good option to have for smaller productions or maybe for traveling also. You can use small microphones like the Sanken CSM1 and place it on a C-stand or even a light stand with a sandbag and will do the job. Since is very light, you can also hold it.

Recently got into acoustic treatment for my recording space and the measurement software I’m using has 37 (!) mic placements to measure from, ideally from the same height.I have multiple areas where my regular tripod mic stand doesn’t quite fit (amps, large pedalboards wired in-situ) and a basic boom arm / mono-pod would be perfect instead. The Andoer boom pole is so light I thought the Amazon box was empty. Out of the box it’s still light but I was relieved that it felt sturdy in the hand - doesn’t flex.My eyes glazed over the 1/4” screw adapter spec in the listing, so wasn’t able to use this upon arrival until I bought some mic thread adapters to convert from 1/4” to 5/8” (most mic clips / stands will have either 3/8 or 5/8 threads, or at least that’s what all of mine are!).Has 3 extending sections that allows a lot of flexibility in terms of extension while still keeping the arm rigid. They have twist locks that are easy to use and hold the sections securely at whatever extension you want. There’s a thread on the very bottom to attach this to a stand or maybe another arm for more extension. But that does mean the bottom of the arm is solid metal and not a rubber bumper, so it’ll clank / grind a bit when touching the ground. Didn’t impact me when using this for measurements though!Really happy with it! Has given me a lot more assurance that I’m maintaining the correct height during the measurement process.Did try it at full extension with a dynamic mic (SM57) at the end and it does flex very slightly in that scenario. Didn’t feel unstable though.Overall, very affordable solurion that does exactly what I hoped with no issues - 5 stars!

The build quality of this boom microphone arm is to a high standard. It is quite heavy and does make it uncomfortable to hold for long periods. However, its has a nice price point so great for someone wanting to build up a professional kit.

Yes, this selfie stick can hold a lightweight microphone but it's definitely not a professional microphone boom pole and the price should have clued me in to that fact before I ordered it.So, don't expect the rigidity and convenience of a professional microphone boom where the microphone cable travels inside the boom. This is just a selfie stick, labeled as such on the box, that doesn't even have a standard microphone thread-size on the end. It does have a common ¼"-20 male thread on the end but you will need an adapter if you want to attach most microphone holders. As an all metal selfie stick it works well and is quite lightweight due to the small diameter of the individual sections which extend smoothly. They also lock and unlock easily and securely with only a short rotation. It has a ¼"-20 female thread on the bottom of the handle so you can mount the selfie stick or simply use it as a ¼"-20 extension pole.I will definitely find a use for it in my studio but probably won't use it as a microphone boom.

You know, sometimes, I see a thing put up, and think, "Nah, maybe they ARE selling something honestly at that price. Maybe. And so I put in for this boom pole for a microphone. Hey. Neat. Maybe it'll be okay.Imagine my annoyance when the package arrives and says "SELFIE STICK".Not only does this boom pole not have anything remotely close to the sturdiness I'd expect from a boom pole, nor does it have an appropriate cable-in-pole setup that you'd expect from a good boom pole, but it's Also being sold off-label.Don't lie to your customers.

A decent bit of kit allowing mics (and other things to be quickly placed where they're needed. Constructions seems good and the arm is stable in use, with the twist-lock mechanism working as intended. The inclusion if a 1/4" screw at the end of the arm means it can be used for equipment other than microphones. I've used it to mount LED light panels and off-camera flash, for some creative lighting applications.A handy bit of equipment.

The Andoer handheld microphone boom pole delivers exactly what it promises a solid, lightweight tool for professional recording. Its aluminum alloy construction strikes the right balance between durability and portability, making it ideal for extended use without causing fatigue. The standout feature for me is its impressive length. Extending from 107cm to 350cm, it offers excellent reach for a variety of applications. The secure twist locks are easy to adjust and hold the position firmly, ensuring reliability in different recording scenarios.Another noteworthy aspect is the integrated cable routing, which simplifies setup and minimizes clutter.Comfortable to hold thanks to the foam-covered handle, this boom pole feels stable during use and prevents slipping.
