I was skeptical thinking it would be harsh or painful. Not at all, our terrier loves it. Seems very gentle and did a great job removing excess undercoat. Looking forward to less shedding and messy blown out coat.

With product its so easy to come my large German shepherd who is long haired. The fur attaches itself to the product easily . My dog seems to like the no pulling, so no discomfort.I can take better care of the the summer shedding season. Easy to use and effective.

I bought this deshedding rake after seeing it being used by a professional groomer on YouTube.I have had it now for about 2 weeks & was surprised at just how easily & how well it removes the dead undercoat fur.Prior to receiving this tool I was only using a slicker brush & thought that this was getting all the dead fur out, but this tool proved that that idea was wrong.If you have a double coated dog, I would highly recommend buying a tool like this one as they are very efficient, easy to use, don't bother the dog & it will also prevent that dead fur falling out all over your house.Highly recommended.Andis make high quality products.

I have an adult shaggy golden retriever who sheds a lot and have used a number of "undercoat" brushes, and combs to untangle matted hair, but with limited success. This tool is different and I wish I had discovered it years ago! I recently came across it at a self-serve doggy wash parlor. I use it to gently comb through my dog's wet coat while bathing her (I use Skouts Honor Probiotic Detangler on her matted hair first to soften). I also use this tool to comb through her dry coat and it is equally effective. But, I don't use this tool as a replacement brush and don't use it everyday because it is so effective: I am concerned to remove too much hair. But please be gentle when using this tool, mindful that it has teeth and is designed to grab at the coat. Sturdy, easy to clean. Excellent quality.

We’ve a two year old Sprocker Spaniel who hates (mostly) or isn’t keen (on a good day) on being groomedWhilst we’d used a Furninator tool to do his back, he wouldn’t tolerate it on his legs at all, and his feathers were getting really long and tangled.I’ve bought lots of tools - and hesitated about spending more money on yet another that didn’t work.But straight away the results were impressive!It didn’t get tangled in his fur.It almost glides through.And the amount of fur that came out - that’s from one short use (before he got fed up). Super easy to use and has made an immediate impact on his coat.Much of the light, old coat is gone and he is back to a glossy dark chocolate colour.I’m almost excited to use it again and finally day goodbye to all that straggly old fur. It’ll make life so much easier this winter when he’s getting wet almost every walk.Superb tool and I would recommend it to every spaniel owner, even though whose dogs don’t really like being groomed.I found it super satisfying - so by the end of day one, I had a huge pile of fur (second photo).

I normally use a furminator on my cats and dogs, but one of my cats is getting up there in age and has gotten a bit boney. Since the furminator is kinda top heavy, this makes it uncomfortable for my cat to be brushed with it. So I looked for something lighter and found the Andis Pet Deshedding Tool. I was able to groom my old cat without awkwardly banging into his bones with the brush head or letting the weight of it rest on him. You can feel when the blades find a patch with excess fur that needs to be removed so despite the sharp underside of the toothed blades, I think the tool is only grabbing the loose fur. My only complaint is the angle of the blades means I have to hold the tool with the length of the handle almost touching my cat, which is a little awkward to maneuver. Otherwise, it's exactly what I was looking for.
