The bowls are great. They were just what I was lookin for. They are large and that is what I needed because I usually make 2 loaves of bread at a time. Make sure that you clean both bowls the first time because there was some clear glue that I almost did not see. Be careful!

These have been great for mixing and holding sourdough bread before shaping. Good size, thick glass, sturdy, and easy to clean. Great quality for the price. Would be nice if they had a lid included for traveling, but plastic covers work well over them!

I purchased two of these 1-quart Anchor Hocking glass mixing bowls and love that they're oven proof and not too heavy. I am VERY pleased with their size, versatility, capacity and quality.The primary reason I purchased two of these 1-quart Anchor Hocking glass mixing bowls was so I could put to test the recipe for the Peasant Bread that we've all seen on Instagram and TikTok. Since receiving these Anchor Hocking bowls, I can now easily make and bake two delicious loaves of the Peasant Bread, as well as use the bowls for salads, hot vegetables, soup and even food storage.

Love my Anchor glass mixing bowl. I was looking for a good sized glass bowl to mix and proof my bread and this was just perfect. It’s nice and sturdy and the 4 QT size makes it a really great size for this purpose. Although it could be used for salads and many other things. Loved the price too!! Everything else that was comparable in size was definitely not comparable in price. So I’m happy with my buy!! Best of all as usual, Amazon delivered it to my home!! And it was carefully delivered too!

Yes, you can buy a similarly sized and shaped bowl at Wally world for like six dollars BUT they are not the same quality at all. These are nice, heavy glass bowls that I expect to last years. The lids would be great of they stayed on! But they don’t! So don’t bother spending the extra money to get the kids. I’m hoping there are better replacement lids available but haven’t found any yet. I want to be able to use these for mixing bowls, to cook steel cut oats in the microwave, for bread dough, and for food storage, so if I can’t find lids, they won’t work for all of those things. If I’ve done the math right, the 6-piece set has bowls that are 4 cups, 6 cups, and 10 cups in capacity. I’m buying another set of the 2.5 quart bowls (6 cups I believe) with lids as that is a great size for me and those lids look like a different style, so I’m hoping they’ll stay on. I’m going to buy a set of the 4-quart bowls with lids. I love the idea of the versatility of these bowls with the lids, and the quality of the bowls is great, but the lids on this set just don’t stay on, unfortunately. They’re a bit of an investment, but even without the lids, it’s much better than spending six dollars and having the bowl cut me or break or chip and having to just keep replacing the cheap ones. I have a set of Anchor glass storage containers I’ve had for almost 10 years and they’re holding up great, the lids are sturdier than the Pyrex ones that I’ve already had to replace, so I’m hoping to find Anchor lids that work for these. I even have an Anchor glass casserole dish I bought in 1998 that I still use almost daily. From what I can tell so far, their quality is still great. Sure I’d love these to be priced lower, but I still feel like they’re worth the money to get these quality bowls that, barring my clumsy self dropping them onto the iron grill of my stove, I expect to last decades with no problem. I only paid a couple extra dollars for the lids but I wouldn’t bother since they just don’t stay on, and one of them is actually too small to even get onto it’s bowl.

I got the 2 pack because I intended to use one for a cat water bowl and one for baking. They work really well for both purposes.Cat water bowl:Anyone with cats knows that ensuring they consume enough water is a challenge. At first my cats had a ceramic bowl, which was fine, and then a fountain to entice them to drink, which they didn't care for, but it seemed they hardly drank. I thought maybe they would like a clear bowl better, as it would not block their vision. I used one of my smaller glass Pyrex bowls, and they seemed to like it better. However, that bowl had a much narrower base and was more tapered, and I was afraid they would knock it off the counter it was on (a small bar-like area that was a pass through from my kitchen into my living room). The liked to chase each other through that area. So I got this because the base was much wider.It works great. It's big enough to hold enough water for three cats, and wide enough that two can drink at one time. They seem to drink more now, and it's easier for me to see when the water gets really gross. They get fresh water every morning, but they love putting their paws in the bowl and it often gets litter in it as the day progresses, which it easy to see.Baking:I usually double my recipes, and this bowl is big enough to hold all the ingredients as I mix them. It is also a really nice shape for allowing dough to rise, and gives plenty of room for that process. The only issue was my other glass bowls didn't nest in it, because of its shape. That was fixed when I got a roommate who had the two smaller sizes. I put my other bowls in storage (along with lots of other stuff), and now they all sit happily together.
