Hornwort, also known as Coontail, has sturdy, layered hair-like foliage that helps oxygenate and clarify the water as well as keep algae growth to a minimum. It is found free-floating worldwide, in moving and still waters, or loosely anchored in muddy bottoms. The tips will shorten and thicken in fall, before falling off and settling on the pond floor to spend the winter as buds. In spring, these buds grow to repopulate the pond. Hornwort leaves are dark green and grow from a 1/2 to 1-1/2 inches long on stems that can reach 24 inches in length. They may be potted or just left to float in the pond. Approximate Purchase Size: 6" to 8" Anacharis will come in a bunch with at least 5 stems. Which can be separated and planted in your aquarium according to one's liking. This plant is low maintenance, grows easily and fish love it!

I bought these water plants, just the one offer of two different plants. I divided them into four, weighted them, and dropped them in the pond. They have already grown quite a bit. They they have been in the pond now for a little over two weeks. The little fish love them, but are not eating them, just playing among them. I will be buying a few more in the near future. I have another smaller pond and want to add these to that one, too.

Great plants for aesthetic quality and to improve the water health of your tank. Natural plants make a great natural filter for the water in your tank, make fish happier, and provide scenic beauty for your tank. The problem is if you don't have fish in your tank but actually have aquatic little pigs with fins like I do the fish love these so much they ate 3/4 of my plants down to the gravel. I feed my little fatties twice a day following product recommendations, but that's not enough for the mini chunks that swim around my 75 gallon fish buffet tank. I do advise having deep gravel for these plants, so at least if they get devoured they can still root and hopefully regrow.Having a CO2 system for these plants is a must for healthy growth and sustainment.

It looks nice for the aquarium and my fishes use it for hiding. But it’s a very delicate plan. It was dying after 5 days, So I took it out and clean the whole tank and put it back in. I think now it’s good.

Purchased for a new turtle setup. Hornwort was a decent amount and in good condition upon arrival. The anacharis had some melting on most of the stems (3 out of 5)- easily trimmed off. Would of liked more for the price, but hey, I can't find it in pet stores here, so I was just happy to finally get some. The anacharis also came with a cluster of snail eggs. For me however, the snails were a plus and I purposefully did not remove them. Little guy loves eating them, and they are very easy for him to catch. I've included a picture of bladder snail eggs so you can know what to look for.***If you have a smaller aquarium, or have no predators that will eat them- you ABSOLUTELY NEED TO remove any eggs or snails prior to introducing these plants to your tank, or maybe just consider getting plants elsewhere. This kind of snail will rapidly overpopulate a tank and are extremely difficult to get rid of once introduced.***This bundle deal was great for a hatchling slider setup! These are both great plants for a lot of species to eat and perfect for babies to rest on, while also being incredibly easy to care for. The anacharis lasted about 4 months before he began eating it- and had some decent growth in that time. The hornwort lasted 6 months before he realized it was more fun to shred than to hide in. They served their purpose and I was very happy with this purchase!
