This stuff works very well. One of the nice things about it is once it's installed, if you have to put additional cable through the wall in the future, you can push the cable through the putty. Good stuff.

If you need fire barrier putty at a good cost then this is an excellent option. The package comes with 8 bars of putty each individually wrapped. The putty is nice and soft to allow you to work it into various areas. This is an excellent value for fire Blick putty.

I'm a retired electronics technician. I have built a combination woodworking/ machine shop in the basement over the past 40 years. From time to time I need duct seal for various projects. It comes in one pound "bricks" and is very pliable and easily formed around fixtures. However, while it doesn't burn well, it's not fireproof, as this claims to be. This stuff is less pliable. It's also not as sticky as standard duct seal. However, as the advert says, if you LIGHTLY put a propane torch to it, it does get more pliable and much more "sticky" and more easily moldable. You get eight bricks for around $60. That is $7.50 a brick. Again, that is not as cheap as the gray duct seal at the big box, but again, this is fireproof, and gives me more of a peace of mind. I give it five stars and recommend.

I also run LV cable in businesses and I need to keep some of this on hand to fire seal any wall penetrations that require it. Molds like putty, I suggest wearing gloves.
