I ordered this well water tank. It arrived a day early. Which was unexpected. Byt graat. No damaged to the outside of the box. When removed from box and inspected. The tank looked great. No damage what so ever. Which was GREAT. Installed the water tank. . Found the precharge , Not as listed on instruction sheet. But still alouded for correct pressure to be set in the bladder. So far operating as expected. Thank You.

Received product today three days before the projected date. Unpacked it and it was correct tank and not a scratch, dent nor ding… And had never been used and as have claimed… Would order from them again without any hesitation.

My original Amtrol, well x trol tank lasted me over 25 years. When it came time to replace it 3 years ago I was willing to pay more to stick with the same brand. My mistake. When my water started to pulsate last week, I called my Well guy. He asked me to check the water tank pressure. When I pushed down on the air valve on the top of the tank water came out. he explained that the tank was defective and asked “By any chance is this a Amtrol, Well X Trol water tank.” I told him yes and ask how he knew. He informed me that ever since the company changed ownership about seven years ago. It has become his number one water tank replacement call (above a photo of tanks he removed over the past week.). He explained that the short cycling (the well pump going on and off every two seconds) I was experiencing due to the defective bladder in my water tank, put my submersible water pump at risk of burning out and cost me $3000 to replace it. when I looked at the 7 year warranty that came with Well X Trol water tank It wasn’t worth the paper it was printed on. The person I purchased it from had to get pre-authorization for me to return it at my own expense and if approved they would prorate the replacement cost (estimate $250). this would leave my home without water for a couple of weeks along with the expensive shipping costs. since the tank was filled with water that would not drain and weigh approximately 300 poundsbecause it was on the other side of the water bladder that was blocking it from coming out the bottom valve, holes had to be drilled in the side of the tank to drain the water so it could be lifted out (see photo). I ended up replacing it with a CHALLENGER water tank which has a better reputation and cost less than a Amtrol, Well X Trol water tank. Hopefully you will not make the same mistake I did after reading my review.

Base was damaged (BENT) and had to touch up scratches so it wouldn't rust.

Worth the investment. My last Well x Trol lasted 32 years. Didn't think to buy one on Amazon but after trying other sources I found most were back ordered for several months. Amazon had it and it arrived in a few days. Also purchased the the tank tee kit. Don't bother with any other brands or the inferior tanks sold at the big home stores. One minor note....The tank came with a small dent at the top. I contacted the seller and they were very helpful with the issue...All's well! (no pun intended)

Bought the WX 203 as a replacement for an identical model that was at least 20 years old. The only reason to replace the old tank was the plumbing to the tank was bad and it seemed like the right time to do it! Arrived on time with no damage. Installation went without any problems. Has been in use for a couple months and is performing flawlessly. Provides water to 3 “weekend” cabins and 1 “full time” house.

The new tank arrived in nearly perfect condition after being shipped almost 3/4 the way across the country (I'm in Arizona and it came from Rhode Island). The only damage was a slight bend in the sheet metal stand where the fitting cut-out is. I was able to straighten out the bend and it didn't affect the operation of the tank. The worst thing about installing this pressure tank was removing the 20 year old failed Well-Mate tank it was replacing. The tank is installed in a crowded garage with no way to drain the old tank. The old tank was waterlogged and weighed about 700 lbs. I constructed a containment berm around the old tank using old towels and cracked open the union fitting. While the water poured out on the floor, I vacuumed it up with my shop-vac and dumped the water on my lawn. The actual installation took about 30 minutes. I needed to purchase a 12" long 1" nipple and a coupling to adapt to the existing plumbing. These parts were in stock at my local hardware store and the new tank only weighed about 45 lbs empty. I was able to easily put it in position and shim the height up about 3/8 inch to match the height of the old tank's fitting. After tightening the union, I turned on the water, plugged in the pump and we were in business!
