The ring light works great, on my digital microscope camera, the brightness can be adjusted using a knob on the side, I can recommend this product.

Simple to install, just clamps on to the lens base. Variable lighting with a twist knob means you're not washing out or under-lighting whatever is being observed. No real complaints on the piece itself.

Used to replace fiber optic illuminator on my microscope. So far, it has been excellent.

I bought this ring light to improve illumination needed for working with a dissecting (stereo) microscope. It fits many microscopes, not just the AmScope series. The brightness is variable via potentiometer. The LED's are in high density (unlike other ring-lights). It worked so well, I bought a second one for another microscope. You can also use there where ring-illumination is an asset (e.g. on the quill of a drill-press or as makeshift lighting for a macro lens on a camera).

Have never used a ring illuminator before. This one mounts easy enough, and provides plenty of light. However, as another reviewer has said, the color temperature gives everything a gray, dead look. I would have opted for more in the range of 2700-3000K, rather than ~6500K.One other gotcha I found: Being a ring light, it occupies space under/around the objective lens, which can interfere with positioning of tweezers, x-acto knife, and especially a soldering iron. I was not prepared for that, as we have a B&L at work with the "stick" light that sits in a hole behind the objective. I may have to make a similar contraption to fit in the big open space between the scope and the focus rail.

ATTENTION : vendu avec prise américaine donc prévoir l'achat d'un adaptateur universel... je n'ai donc pas pu tester l'anenau lumineux pour l'instant.

I used to order these form a dental supplier and paid 10 x more. These ring lights don't last long and have to be replaced every few years. Since this one is new to me, I can not tell you how long it will last, nut I am more than impressed about the brightness and quality. Will buy these for all of my microscopes.

I’m usually against buying cheap versions of equipment but in this cast I was proved wrong. It’s surprisingly good quality and considering the price, I’m very happy with it. I’ve used expensive professional ring lights ($200+) for work in the jewelry industry and so far this one is right up there with them at 10% the price. The brightness control knob feels surprisingly smooth and the power adapter fits snug in the jack so I’m not worried about it accidentally pulling out. The case is plastic but it’s not bulky like some of the other models I’ve used, especially considering it houses all of the controls. It’s a light.. it works well, it’s cheap, and doesn’t feel like junk.. don’t waste your money on the expensive versions that are made pretty much the same
