the paper is OK. The gridlines show up well, but it is thin/flimsy paper as others pointed out in reviews. I tried a few different brands without luck... back to the university engineering bookstore I guess, where I know I can get good, thick engineering paper that can be repeatedly erased

I’ve always loved using engineering paper for homework as well as just scrap paper. It’s nice and thin, has nice grids that are faint enough not to be distracting, and is always a pretty good price for the quantity. If you’ve never used it before, I highly recommend giving it a shot!

Exactly as advertized... note that the green/yellow ones are a little lighter weight than the brown/beige ones I've used from other brands. As a student I use like 15+ sheets of this stuff per week, so its necessary to buy in bulk when prices are low.

As an enginer ing, student we use this type of paper all time! it's use is all powervufl! Very! :)So, it is really good though. I use the pad for homework. The pages are easy to take off the bind at the top. I haven't had an issue with the thickness of the paper and pen bleeding through. The back grid shows through the front and is easy to line up. The back cardboard is really nice, just the right thickness. It holds up on it's own. I haven't had an issue with pepper ripping when trying to take it off the top bind.

Paper is thin and in humidity becomes difficult to write on with pencils. Grid line quality is not crisp.

I bought a number of these pads while I was in school and fell in love with them. I use them for everything from mathematics class to drawing DnD maps, to geometric handdrawn art projects. I recently started running low, and with the local college bookstore closed I decided to order them online.I'm not sure why the margin with the holes punched in needs to be so wide, seems like a waste of space. Aside from that, the sheets of paper used to be completely white with the exception of the green grid lines, but now the entire sheet of paper is green as well, which is annoying.I'll definitely use the two pads that I ordered, but I may be looking elsewhere for the next replacements.

My life has changed since using this paper pad. Three years ago I had no clue this stuff existed. Like a non-engineering major, I have been using graph paper and struggling with differentiating anything on that dark blue grid. After suffering through engineering class after engineering class, I realized I cannot live without this stuff. The grid is just visible enough without being too obstructive. High quality, I am partial to this brand because of it.

The same high quality engineering pads I used in school. Wouldn't use anything else!

I have used this graph paper for about 11 years now for all my research and coursework scratch. I like it because the grids are very faint and very thin, unlike most graph paper where I feel you can't see your own writing over the thick dark gridlines. I prefer grid paper to plain white copy paper because it's nice to be able to "snap to grid" occasionally for technical drawings or when taking bulleted lists. They are cheaply made however so the pages tend to separate from the cardboard backing pretty quickly. I usually use a big clip to prevent this, or keep it in a notebook, but it's a little annoying.

When I went to college almost 20 years ago, as an Engineering student, I went through several pads of this stuff a month. I used it for practically every class, mainly because the professors required it. They each had their own format you needed to follow, where you would enter your name in a specific block at the top, the class and section, and of course, the date.I read several reviews that said the paper was thinner than they remembered, or the binding glue was weak, or the lines were darker or lighter than before.Ignore them! They are wrong.I found one of my original Ampads from college, it only had 10 sheets left, but it was absolutely identical to these "new" Ampads. The paper was the same, the line color, the position of the three-hole punch, and even the glue (what was left of it) was the same. The lines on the back were always dark, that's how they got that subtle grid pattern on the front without printing it on the front of the page. If you recall from your college days, sitting in your study group with fellow engineering students, you never tried to write on the back of these sheets - the lines were too dark then. And guess what? They are still too dark to use the back for anything other than graphing or drawing grid-based things. All in all, this product is as fantastic and perfectly geeky as it has always been. I highly recommend it to anyone that knows what they want from an Engineering Notepad. Keep up the great work, Ampad! There are generations of engineers waiting to buy your fantastic products.

I got this for use in my physics class after using my friend's Ampad engineering paper. Unfortunately, the pad I got was not the same quality. The paper was thinner, the ink that printed the grids and lines were blurry and very fat, and it was very hard to detach the paper from the binding glue at the top. I'm not sure I will get this kind again, I wanted a smaller package (and not the larger looseleaf) since I don't really anticipate using it that much.
