I bought 3 of these and compared them against each other with a AWS electronic scale with 0.01g resolution. All 3 measured the same on my scale, so weight to weight, these are consistently made. I don't have a scale with a NIST certificate, so I can't say much more than that. They appear to be accurate as far as I can tell and my Ohaus triple beam agrees with the electronic scale (but the resolution on the Ohaus is only 0.1g, so that may not be the best comparison). A certificate would have been a bonus, though.

Although the content of this review has WEIGHED on me for awhile, I've calibrated all my thoughts together and have a result to display: "PASS" is my review. This little guy deserves so many more stars than 5! It has changed my life forever, and I am now going to live as a monk on a mountain top thanks to this beautifully hand-crafted 100WGT Calibration Weight. It's degree of manufacturing accuracy is well within my personal tolerances, and I feel we could be together for ever! One time, when things were sad between Mr. Weight and I, he fell over and started to roll away from me... my heart was crestfallen... but after a jarring stop on a door frame, his rolling ceased and I was able to embrace his 100 grams of amazing in my grasp... pure bliss. One negative about this weight is that it really only weighs about 88.7 grams... oh well... there's other reasons I love you Mr. Weight. :-)

A well constructed calibration weight, that does indeed weigh what it should--so it works :-). It worked very well, actually--until my other half misplaced it somewhere. So until we find it again, were using a small rock that we already knew weighed 100 grams (at least until we lose the rock LOL).I would suggest if you use calibration weights, you take the time to come up with a permanent storage device for them. If I had a dollar for every weight we've lost over the years....And if you NEED a calibration weight of this size, this one (at least the one I got) was absolutely accurate, a good standard size and shape, and looked fancier than the rock we're back to using :-)

There isn't a whole lot to say about something that simply needs to exist to work. I tested these on 2 scales and got the same result, so as far as I can tell, they are the correct weight (or at least the same weight).They come in little ziploc bags, in case you are concerned about them being exposed to the elements. I don't know that it makes a difference.I use them to calibrate my jeweler's scale. A word of caution: Buy the scale first, and see what weights it wants for calibration. I thought mine only needed a 100g weight, but it asks for 100g and 200g when you run the test, so I just bought 2 of these.Pros:- Seems to weigh 100g, as advertised- CheapCons:- Not shaped like anything funny

Upon arrival I was excited to run out and great the delivery man with a hello and take my package my package only to be meeted with a ditz just handed me the package and returned to his truck like a smug jackass.When I brought it inside and started to unwrap it I knew something was special about this 100 gram weight.At first I just left it in my cupboard at home but something really grew on me. As I became more and more attached to this marvelous item I began carrying it wherever I went.I would take it to the supermarket. I would take it clothes shopping. I could take it on hikes. I would take it in the shower. I would even take it to the local food pantry to gather food for the month.I was myself again.This is a calibration weight worth buying.

First, the calibration weight was purchased with the 100g x 0.01g American Weigh digital scale sold here at Amazon. Both items were priced right and these scales should be maintained and calibrated often so buying the calibration weight was a no brainer. Shipping was fast but the calibration weight was just thrown into the box and rolling around, I was afraid it may have damaged the scale. No, unboxed it, setup for calibration and received "Pass" without a hiccup. Worked as it should and have used it to check my scales accuracy everytime it's used. Thanks' Amazon
