I bought this box for a 10β NVX V3 Series (VCW104). The box itself is great! ππΌ Itβs a solid well built box made with quality materials. But if you happen to have 10β NVX V3 Subwoofer. The round hole cutout for the actual Subwoofer Speaker itself is not big enough for the speaker. But I would definitely recommend this Subwoofer Box to family & friends.

The short story:Sub used: JL 3v3-2 with plenty of amp.Build quality is very good.Great for a temporary enclosure until you can find a more permanent solution.Sounds decent down to about 50 Hz or so. Absolutely no low end. This, and many other prebuilt boxes, are marketed with incorrect volumes.Long part:I've built my own boxes for years, but no longer have the physical ability anymore.Thinking that this was the dimensions they claim, I ordered it.Doing the math, the labyrinth vent is massively long, leaving only .657 cubic feet for the actual sub chamber BEFORE adding the sub. The vent (and wood) takes up the rest of the space in the box. I calculated that too, which comes out to about .59 cubic feet for the vent, and 0.16 cubic feet for the wood inside. So charting this, the peak is at around 60hz with a sharp dropoff below 47hzMy sub's ideal dropoff is 37hz with a much slower roll off for full bottom end.If this was 1.5 cubic feet and tuned to 38hz, It would peak at about 45hz, (which is a common frequency for full sub bass) and dropoff at about 35hz (still with a sharp dropoff). This would sound far better than it does. Conclusion: build quality is good, but functional design is lacking. It will work well enough for most people, but will have no low end. The measurements they provide are not the actual functional design measurements. It peaks around 60hz with very little low end, and the higher end is also weaker. Imagine if they measured a bag of potato chips by the volume of air inside the bag, and not the actual food part... this is kind of what this is like.

First off this is a real labyrinth box, it has several slot channels sweeping in an S shape and it creates bass like a sealed box and it also blows air on the long lower notes, no box is perfect but this one is amazing especially for the price I have a alpine type X 10β 4 ohm dvc series wired to 2 ohm inside this box running a True and Tested 1000W rms amplifier, itβs a great box very dense and heavy the carpet is nice also

The box came smelling like glue. It was a sharp odor, unpleasant. But I left it out in my garage to air-out a bit (which worked a bit). I can still smell the glue if my truck gets hot enough inside the vehicle, but it's not as much. I would recommend the company who builds these to use a different, odorless glue (there are MANY alternatives that are just as good).Otherwise, this box sounds really great. I installed my Sundown E-Series 10" to replace a box that was originally designed for a JL Audio W6-10. That sub was old and I replaced with the Sundown, but the box was simply far too large for the sub. It sounded ok, but I could tell the Sundown needed a tighter, more controlled space for it to really shine. Sure enough, this little box met the manufacturer's build-specs more closely than any other box on the market at this price point. The materials are basic and functional. You're getting what you pay for, in other words. But I cannot complain. At this price, this box is really good. It feels solid, the sub fit in perfectly, I don't get woofer chuff from the port and the bass extension is solid as a rock Very satisfied with the labyrinthine design of the insides of this box. It really makes the bass hit LOW and HARD. Perfect for my simple needs. I would say that if you have a sub more powerful than, say, 600W or so, this box might become a bottleneck in your setup. [READ THE UPDATE BELOW.] Some subs require large amounts of air to move freely, especially when the drivers require higher wattages. But for around the sub 800W range, this box is probably ideal for most applications. Plus it's not very large and will fit in most vehicles' trunks or SUVs cargo areas.--- UPDATE ---About 2-3 months later and the smell was completely gone - even on really hot days. Now, 10 months later I have a different setup in my vehicle and have since moved this box (with a new sub) into my living room to use as my home theater sub enclosure, loaded with a Sundown SA Classic 10" - where I had to modify the enclosure's opening to get the sub to fit. This box is absolutely NOT a bottleneck for a more powerful sub, contrary to what I stated months ago.Actually this box REALLY kicks out the low end with this more powerful sub! I'm very satisfied with this enclosure. After performing the "subwoofer crawl" (look it up), the sub and enclosure have both paired together like they were meant for each other. I have to attenuate the power from my amp so as not to shatter things inside the room. The sub harmonics are extremely satisfying and a testament to how well the labyrinthine design of this enclosure's internals have been implimented. The materials it is made from fit the application quite well, with minimal flex and no air leaks.Honestly, my only complaint is the initial odor. Aside from the glue smell (and I hope the manufacturer will see how many reviews there are regarding the glue odor and change to an odorless adhesive), I still give this enclosure 5-stars for functionality. If you can air out the unit when you first get it (leaving it in a hot, well-ventilated area to allow the glue's odors to dissapate helps a bit), and pair it up with a quality mid-level power rated sub (about 500W to 1200W would fit nicely in this enclosure - my SA Classic 10 rates at 750W peak, but can handle at least 50% more than that), you should find that this enclosure is a perfect fit for any vehicle or home theater.Highly recommended!

Very happy! Very under priced, I mean I'm glad but cheap price for what it is, I had an extra 100w plate amp so I figured why not have another sub to go with my badboy PL 200 sub on my home theater system so I bought a Cerwin Vega XED10 because it was cheap and bought a 85cf sealed box it calls for 88cf and box was fine but I didn't like how the sealed box worked, it sucked up every spare watt and wasn't loud or deep so I said hell with it and bought this box calls for a 1.25cf this said 1.50cf but figured ahh can't hurt and WOW! The volume is way louder and it really thumps now and shaking stuff with a powerful boom soooo much different than in the sealed box, with the XED it's not in the same class of my BIC it's thumps but it's like $350ish. The box is very solid..real Beefie. The carpet a little thin but I plan on stripping it off at some point and painting it and putting feet under it too so doesn't look like a car sum in my house. Great box, I like the radiuses port that's a nice feature in a $50 box... So surprised for under $100 for the box & sub it really is impressive, just now a movie was rumbling and the ol lady went over to turn the BIC down! (she hates subs thats why I got another one...hehe) Now that's saying something! HA I'm tickled!
