These are not like the thin metal ones you get at the local hardware store. These are contractor tuff! Won't bend or break easily when it hits a regular sized rock! These are much stronger and really hold the landscape fabric in place!Highly recommend the few extra dollars for the endurance of these staples!

Metal is much thicker and the points are much sharper than others I have used in the past. Still bendable if you intend on doing such. The quality definitely made the instillation easier and hold much better. Appearance was just as described by the seller.

These staples are heavy duty, large and work well. Used them to hold down cardboard in the garden for the winter. They go in easy, are not easily bended out of shape. Hold their shape well. I put them by hand then set by foot in thick cardboard. Ends are sharp and go in easily. Plenty more than I needed but I am sure I will find may other uses for them!! Would recommend.

I used these 6 inch garden staples to hold down burlap on some crumbly dirt on a slope. The burlap is intended to hold the dirt back. Actually, I put cardboard underneath because rain is coming. I had read that cardboard can be a good weed barrier in a garden and it is biodegradable. We shall see. Even if it is temporary, I am glad I put it all this down. The staples held everything nicely. I would suggested getting the bigger pack if you are going to use a lot. 50 staples goes pretty fast so it is more economical to buy the larger pack. Also consider the longer staples to really hold things down, especially if you are dealing with loose soil or on an incline. If you are using this for other purposes, definitely consider the various lengths and not just 6 inch. Good luck!
