I opened it at the studio and the container was sealed, but the glaze hard and really dried out. I used this glaze this before and it was thick, but brushable. This purchase was solidified. I sieved it three times and added a small amount of water. It still acts weird. Thin coats flake off bisqueware, it's difficult to reapply over that area without pulling dried glaze off. The thickness in combination with the flaking problem really makes it difficult to get consistent coverage. It is difficult to say how much of it is product related and how much may just be from the seller sending old material. There is no expiration date, and the container was sealed. However, this container was very different then past uses. The color where I have managed to evenly apply it is nice. I like the texture/sheen too. Still a shame that it is so much effort and this final and critical stage. In short, despite its pluses, it would be tough to recommend it to anyone.
