I'd lost power during a recent arctic blast. High winds, accumulating ice, blowing snow, and temperatures that dipped down into the single digits. Living in a heavily wooded area, this is a recipe for falling tree limbs, and power outages. It's a scenario I experience nearly every Winter, but this time I was prepared. After setting this bed tent up, I tossed in some blankets, snacks, battery-powered lights and visual entertainment and prepared for the worst. Sure enough, the house went dark and the temperature in my bedroom began to plummet. Meanwhile, I was cozy and warm inside my little bed tent nest until the power came back on a few days later. I even found the whole experience to be kind of fun.It sets up pretty easy. I didn't try to stick the mattress inside due to it being a queen-size pillow-top, but rather set it atop the mattress and lined the bottom with a few thick comforters. The access doors on either side are huge which would make it pretty easy to stick a mattress in there should you choose to do so. The windows at the head and foot are a great size, mesh window screens are a nice addition. All the zippers are smooth and easy to use. I really like the interior pockets as well. The only thing I don't care for is the toggle and loop system intended for keeping the side flaps open. I found it difficult to undo them. Maybe if the loops were made of a different material, ,like paracord, they'd be easier to undo. I ended up rolling up the flaps and pinching them in place with some folder clips and that worked out great. So whether you're buying this for your kids to use as a play fort, wanting to simulate a camping experience at home, want a little privacy in a shared-room situation, you're a day-sleeper who wants to block out the light, or you are preparing for cold weather, like I was, this is a great and fun way to do all of those things.

It's super easy to set up, but much more difficult to get folded down to put it back into the bag that it comes in. It does seem pretty sturdy, and arrived in prefect condition.

They aren't safe enough for my child and are extremely pricey it's sad I keep having to replace these tents all the time. Not easy to install either and when it needs to be washed it's like pulling teeth...not comfortable either and it's pretty cramped on the mattress so kind of small also don't like that it didn't have a bottom so I had to stitch one in. The stability is awful. Also zippers have broken and they are too easy for a child to open if you bought it to try and keep your child safe

I'd recommend a nonslip mat for the box spring so it doesn't start to slid off also a little light would be helpful a little fan also because it can get warm if you have it closed up if you open the vents you won't need it but for privacy a fan is recommended

I’m currently sleeping in a house that’s INFESTED with huge spiders. It’s awful. After the fifth time one dropped down on my face in the middle of the night, I knew I had to do something. This canopy came compactly packaged, popped open with no issues, had no rips or damage, and perfectly fit over my oversized full memory foam mattress. Finally I have a bit of peace and can sleep without creepy crawlers roaming in my bed. The zips don’t catch and the mesh at the ends means I can still watch TV from bed.My only critique is that I wish the side panels had ties so you could keep them open when changing the sheets. But I’ve just been using a hair tie for that and it works fine.Worth every penny, let me tell you!

Because of dogs, we needed extra bed space and pushed a twin bed up against our queen bed MANY years ago (excellent decision). And often the dogs would want the middle and eventually I just accepted that the twin was mine. 🤷♀️Anyhow, I'm not a good sleeper and have a bad habit of spending hours hiding under the covers on my phone (under the covers because my partner would complain that the light kept him awake. ) But it's hot AF under the covers so I started looking for another solution and found this. I've had it for a few weeks now and it's quite possibly the best purchase I ever made!My twin mattress is not shabby. It's pretty thick!! But it fit inside my tent with no problem and I have plenty of headroom! You will need to buy some heavy duty velcro strips if you want to be able to keep the sides up. Because of the dogs, I keep the sides up so the can walk through (or join me) until the moment I need to put the sides down at night to be on my phone without bothering my partner. I do have to rip the velcro quick (because it's loud), but generally after I do that my partner goes right back to sleep if it woke him.I've also found that the tent is GREAT for migraine days!! As well as anxiety spells. My tent has become my adult "safe space" and there's no shame in that. I couldn't be happier!!
