My four-year-old is autistic and he was in a crib with a security tent to prevent elopement. I tried so hard to get Insurance to approve a security bed and just couldn’t afford one. So I figured the next best option would be to get a tent just like this. It’s great because you can close all of the flaps and have it completely blacked out or you can have some up and some down and just have the mesh. He is loving his new big boy bed, and his big boy tent. It’s very sturdy and easy to put together.

I am an autistic adult. I really needed this to help me with my sensory issues. The sun's rays really bother me from the windows, and this works to block them out. I also feel more secure and at ease. I've dubbed it my "Sensory Cave", lol. I plan on getting a weighted glow in the dark constellation blanket, and I am going to get more things to make it extra comfy. It's a great way to help my sensory avoidance and sensory seeking. It's spacious, so I don't feel claustrophobic. I'm very excited to sleep in it for the first time tonight. I like that it unzips on the sides, and I can go my bed from either the sides or in the front, which the front has zippers too. Something that works great with this and the type of bedframe I have, is that my bedframe has a built in bookshelves, so the back that also has zippers, is left open, so i have access to the book shelves still, so I can have accessories there I can still reach for. The mesh layer with the regular layer is great too. It's best to have at least a couple people set this up, as it was difficult to set up by myself, but it was worth it in the end. I can feel air flow go through the open front of the tent, which is great. I had the fan on for awhile, flowing through the right side of an open flap, and recently turned it off, and I can feel air still from the front, even with the fan now off. It's holding up great so far.

Super easy to set up and disassemble. Still struggling to get the circle component, but I’ll figure it out!We use the tent for our kiddo with special needs. He gets up early and this keeps him contained so we can sleep. He’s happy to be in it reading books or watching a show.

I think that we can all agree: $115+ is a steep price to pay for a tent this size (Twin in my case). But this particular tent just so happens to fit-onto/integrate-with a bed and it does so very, very well. What's more, Alvantor seem to have the bed-tent (tent-bed?) market cornered and well, 'supply and demand' is a thing (or *things* I guess, huh?).Sorry, I'm in a bit of a fog having spent the better part of 3 hours inside one of these tent-bed-tents. A "fog" only because I didn't want to come out. SOMEone decided that it was unreasonable for me to nap longer..merely bc it's THEIR bed. Pffft...the nerve. amirite??First let me tell you, installation was surprisingly simple and straightforward. The tent arrives in it's folded, storable state. One only need release 3 plastic clips to bear witness as it unfolds in all of it's glory. As I'm certain so many do, our bed-tent-bed went atop a loft bed. Allow me to regale you with the proverbial nuts n bolts of installation so you'll know what to expect there:1) Remove the mattress (we'll be sliding it back inside the tent in a moment).2) The three arched, structural support pieces are pre-installed and ready to go once you've released the aforementioned clips. Simply align the tent-bed-tent to the base of the bed. Eyeball it, no laser levels, calipers nor micrometers required.3) Aside from the tent itself, you've got THREE parts to contend with. Identical, collapsed poles that easily unfold and come together to run perpendicular (long-ways) to the pre-installed arched poles. Ya can't miss the zippered entry points: one along the top and two each along the sides. Slide em in without so much as a word as others in the room stand in awe and gawk at your mastery.4) Time to slide that mattress back in, y'all! Either end fully unzips to allow this impressive maneuver. The mattress will cover the "floor" of the bed-tent-bed for structural rigidity. Now flash a smile at your surely growing audience, MacGyver...we're in the home stretch.5) Four ties of your favorite knot at each corner to further fasten your tent-bed-tent to the bedposts/frame and you. are. DONEZO. Actually, just go with a simple 'bow', here. Save the Alpine Butterfly Loop for your next K2 hike, ya bad-ass.Mmmhmm...my bombastic blathering notwithstanding, that's "it". What you're left with is a sweet tent (...on a bed) that stands right up to the somewhat lofty 3-figure pricetag. There's a hook-loop inside on the ceiling just begging for a ~$20 wireless, rechargeable fan/led light combo (w/ remote) to complete the cool cave. In all seriousness, this is a fantastic product that I am certain you will not regret purchasing. I won't lie to you and say that I don't wax-manic over just any ol' thing like this. I do, I do. But if you're already here considering this item much less, suffering my diatribe antics, you've already bought it, anyway. Enjoy your nap.

My 7 year old has had this tent for a year. It’s like his own hideaway (from his little brother). Just enough light blocking to allow him to read at night by flashlight and not keep the other one awake.Enough headroom and space for comfort. Drawback is that he’s got stacks of books, toys and every odd thing in there, and it all ends up under the mattress. We had a small tear at one of the seam I couldn’t repair. It was still under warranty and the company stood by their product.

My 10-year-old daughter had been using a bed tent that was designed for kids (printed with pictures) but it only partially covered the bed and was only available for a single-size bed. When she upgraded to a larger bed, she asked if she could still get a bed tent for it. The large windows in her bedroom let in a lot of light from very early in the morning and she wanted more coverage to keep out the light so she could sleep in past sunrise, but she didn't want heavy curtains in the room. I decided to buy this tent for her. As a pop-up tent, it was easy to assemble the tent itself as you just slide some support poles into designated pockets. The biggest challenge when setting this up was getting it under the mattress. If you were to use this on a single bed, that might not be too bad as those mattresses can be fairly light and aren't too large. However, if you are using this tent on a bed that is full size or larger, it can be a bit tricky getting this under and around a bulky heavy mattress. I had to have another adult help me. Keep that in mind before purchasing. Once it was set up, it was clear this tent was high quality and very sturdy. If you bump into it or accidentally sit on the edge of the bed, it pops right back into shape, which is great in a kid's room. The only thing that I feel I should mention is that the size of these tents can seem quite large (tall) when you get into the larger sizes of mattress. If you have a low ceiling, dangling lights or fixtures, or a ceiling fan, I would recommend measuring first as this tent might cause a problem in those situations. Other than that, this is a great buy for anyone that wants to create a cozy hideaway on their bed. The amount of light blocked is great considering the lightweight nature of the fabric, the sturdy zippers and panels allow for more, or less, air flow and for more, or less, view of the room, making the tent quite versatile. My daughter loves this tent!
