After finally realizing that plastic snow shovels are completely useless in heavy snow accompanied by freezing rain, I had to try something different. It is very lightweight and has a thick enough gauge of aluminum that I don't worry about it bending while scraping thick ice from the driveway.

Normally I would never write a review before using the product, but in this case there was no need to wait. This shovel is well built. I comes in one piece. Light weight and sturdy materials. Exactly what I wanted and I am sure I will get a lifetime worth of use out of it. Highly recommend.

This shovel, otherwise fine, is six inches shorter than a traditional snow shovel. I'm over 6 foot tall and those six inches make a big difference. I have to bend down too much to plow snow. For a smaller person it might be okay. Otherwise light and so easy to use. Materials seem good and it's firmly assembled. Used a few times and holding up fine.

We had several inches of snow and my plastic shovel cracked while using it so I thought I’m not buying the plastic one again, I’ve had too many of them. I was kind of surprised about the price was as much as it was but I tell you, it was worth it. This outperforms by far any plastic shovel I’ve ever had. It’s sturdy and works great. I’d definitely recommend.

First class workmanship. Strong enough to use like an axe on snow which has been allowed to pack down into ice. Good even in the hands of inexperienced shoveler, the girl upstairs, who is bound to make beginners mistakes. The kind of thing construction workers buy.The new apartment complex management proved inadequate to the polar vortex. I had not owned or used a shovel for thirty years, not having any need for one as the old management were obviously capable of dealing with the problem. The new management were weighed in the balance and found wanting, so I had to take a hand. I got a shovel from you, and a hundred pounds of rock salt, and began instructing the young people in their use.

I only gave it 4 stars because it hasn't snowed yet. So far, it's a nice sturdy shovel that's light enough in weight for me to handle (117 lbs 5'3"). Handle is nice and comfortable as well, I'll let you know how it does once we get snow, and we shall!

We live in a part of Texas that gets snow once in a blue moon, so I don't know if we'll ever have an occasion to shovel snow with this, but that's not why I bought it.Outside our back door, there's a small hill that consists mainly of dirt. When we get a heavy rain storm, we get a mini-mudslide the ends up on our patio. I've used a regular shovel to scrape the dirt off, but it was a difficult process. Not so with this shovel. It was so much easier and faster with this shovel because of how wide it is, how sturdy it is, and how easy it is to use. This shovel came put together in a large box, so I feel confident that it will stay put together. The shovel itself is metal, not plastic, so it's probably going to last a lot longer. I highly recommend this shovel, and I really hope we never get enough snow to where we have to use it for that purpose.
