And it is exactly .250" thick. Both sheets have a plastic coating on both sides, which is worn through in some areas, which may leave some scratches. If you are buying sheet aluminum from anybody, don't expect it to be scratch free. It is considered to be "raw material."Many suppliers profess to sell you 1/4" stock, when it is actually 6 millimeters, .236", which is thinner than 1/4". I read the details and checked the pictures for dimensions closely. This product is as described. I was going to take one star off for the torn plastic coating on 1 side of 1 piece, but after thinking about it, Imagine yourself in a factory having to man-handle a full 4' X 8' sheet of this stuff in a power shear, that plastic coating will get torn. I know, I've had to do it. Though most of this stuff isn't usually coated. Most raw materials aren't coated.

Purchased the pair to repurpose a pair of hotas mounts to have a keypad and mouse closer to my other controls. Had to file down the edges (they are pretty shop), then a bit of sandpaper, and then they were good to go. Drilled and countersunk the holes, gave it a coat of 2-in-1 primer/paint, and good to go. Seems sturdy enough for my needs. Can’t/won’t bear down on them as it’s only 1/8th inch thick, but shouldn’t have to put that much weight on them. Overall good product.

Aluminum sheets are well packaged and delivered in good condition. For those interested, actual thickness is 0.130", and width and length were 12.022, so no worry about being undersized. Both plates were dead flat across the grain (for those unfamiliar, grain runs in the direction the plate was rolled) but had inconsistencies up to 0.034" in the direction of the grain.
