Good option if you're unsure if your kid is going to commit. Yes, you can but something better but for like twice the price. This is really lightweight and I suspect the metal is pretty thin so be careful of banging it around. Luckily the case has some good protection.

Perfect starter trombone for my grader! It's light weight, but still the real deal.Arrived sooner than expected.Best part it's Brand new, and he gets to keep it at the end of the year.
