I bought an AL-3107 directly from Altas and overall I really like it. It’s well made and sturdy. I’ve done one workout on it and tried basically all the attachments and functions. I love how compact it is when it’s folded up when not in use to keep more space open around it. It’s pretty easy to collapse and open back up and there is a video on their website of how to do it. My only knock on it is that the cable attachments that come with it feel too cheap for the cost of the rack. I bought some replacement attachments from REP that work well with the cable caribiners and are better quality. As for assembly, some people have said they had alot of trouble with assembling the non-folding version (AL-3058) bc the instructions aren’t clear. For me, it was easy to understand but do yourself a favor and lay out all the pieces and parts, label them with masking tape for their part number and group them with the page of assembly they are on to make your life easier when you start building it. You need 2 people to really do assembly well. They pack the parts really well from the factory in China (bubble wrap everything). Feedback to the factory would be to label the parts by part number to save the customer from having to do it.I’d buy it again and recommend it for anyone that wants a smith machine/power rack that can fold in to minimize floor space when not in use and doesn’t need to be anchored to a wall. If space isn’t an issue at all, I’d get one what doesn’t need to fold in to save some money. The big draws for me were: no wall anchoring, folds in, smith machine & power rack combo, land mine, and quality pull-up and dip functionsA couple of things to note too: you won’t be able to get most benches in position correctly for incline chest press since there isn’t enough room from the bar to the cable weight stack. You need to lubricate the rods the smith bar attaches to and the stainless steel square tracks the cable pulleys slide up and down on. Use a silicon lubricant (DuPont makes a good one)
