I've had a few different race balaclavas (and lost one) so I thought I'd try the Alpinestars due to the material and color. First, let me say that I love the red color. The balaclava itself is decent but had a few limitations.1) The eye port / opening seems smaller than some other balaclavas. If you wear glasses, it works but it's not perfect.2) It's still fairly warm. The Walero material is MUCH more comfortable, softer and has better breathability.For the money, I would not buy it again and would just get another Walero.

I tried multiple alpinestars neck warmers/covers and this one is definitely more pricey but does the best job, comfortably.

Bought the white one and I'll admit that I was a bit anxious knowing that I had just purchased a really pricey head sock, like what!!! Ohhhh how I was wrong. I knew from the moment I touched the head sock, it was very good quality. Will definitely be purchasing another to have a black one as well and have already recommended it to my brother too. Buy it, you won't regret it!

I don't like using sun screen on my neck and face during motorsports events because of the risk of getting it in your eyes. I road race motorcycles and was looking for something or some way to shield my neck. Specifically, the exposed part below the helmut and above the leathers. This works perfectly. Just long enough to tuck in but the lightweight fabric isn't hot. It also keeps some of the sweat funk out of your helmet. Likely never will see this needed in a fire but you get that coverage also.

This is the best balaclava I've tried. It is very thin, very breathable, and doesn't create any pressure points on my forehead area, which is what I usually hate about them. It definitely helps me stay cool on hot racing days.
