A nicely fashioned, informal style, wool-based overcoat. Excellent in cold weather. Also good protection from rain. The price fluctuates significantly, so if you watch the pennies, wait for the plunge. Patience will be rewarded (if you don't die in the interim braving the elements in your flimsy windbreaker!).

I had an Alpine swiss coat very similar to this for the last 10 years-A few of the buttons had finally fallen off and I decided I needed a new coat instead of sewing them on-I decided to search for the Alpine swiss brand after looking at several wool type dress coats-this came up at a great price-I ordered the same size I had before and it fits to size like they have on the website-I will say this coat is heavier than my last one and very warm-it arrived in time for the cold weather here and I am glad that I have it-I wear dress clothes every day to work and this coat can be worn for dress or a little casual-I like the length-I have no issues with the quality or anything now that I have been wearing for a couple of weeks-if the last one is any indication, I should have this overcoat for a long time to come as the quality seems to be very good for the price-I would definitely recommend

Honestly, This coat exceeded my expectations. Many buyer wrote size is bit too large which wasn't true in my experience. I am 5 foot 10 inch tall and ordered medium size and it fits me perfectly. Coat is warm and made out of fairly good material. inner side could be made with better material but considering the price i believe this is good enough. There are 3 pockets inside and all of them are deep enough to put wallet, mobile phone or even a passport. Two outside pocket also deep enough to put your hands inside in case it's too cold outside. I would suggest you to order true size rather focusing on wrong reviews of others.

I absolutely love this overcoat. I specifically needed something that felt comfortable while wearing a suit. This exceeded my expectations in every imaginable way. One of the best purchases I ever made on Amazon. I will probably be buying another one and in the other color, that's how great this is. Size is only slightly larger than a typical usual XL. Great material, still stylish but not bulky looking, great pocket location. Love this!

I am very disappointed in the service from Amazon.This item was good quality but too large. The guidelines for sizes are completely wrong. The size I ordered was recommended based on my husband’s previous orders but it was excessively larger.When he looked at it again, it recommended yet an even larger size!!When I came to return the item to exchange for smaller size, I discovered I have to return it to the USA!The item arrived very quickly when I ordered it, so it would seem to arrive from UK.I would think therefore it could be returned to a UK address. Instead I have to pay £29 to return it to the USA!It has caused me a huge amount of stress at Christmas, as this coat was a special gift for my husband.At this time I have spent all this money and have no gift.

I am delighted with this overcoat! As per the item description, i ordered a size smaller than I normally do, and it fits perfectly! It’s heavily lined, so nice and warm, Two outside pockets, three inside.The inside pockets are just a tiny bit narrow, but a cell phone fits comfortably in them. For the price, this is an amazing deal. A solid, heavy winter overcoat just in time for the season.I recommend it highly.

I bought this to fit over top of a roman cassock. I would normally wear an XXL over regular clothes, but ordered an XL as I read the coat runs quite large. I am glad I sized down, XL fits perfectly over the cassock. The coat is warmer than I expected and quite soft. Very happy with this purchase, a great price too!

This is a very comfortable very warm coat! I am a big guy, and my only complaint would be that the sleeves are just a little too big, not long, just big. I wear an under shirt, dress shirt with french cuffs, suit jacket, and this coat, but it still seems like wind can blow up the sleeves even with gloves on. Aside from that minor gripe, it is very comfortable and looks pretty great. Also very warm, I read one or two people say it was thin, but for an overcoat I think it was actually thicker than I was expecting. Quality of the buttons and stitches seem top notch as well. This coat is pretty great and a really great value.

First off I realize that ordering clothes on line is always a gamble in size, fit and quality. I really like this trench coat but it does run way too large. I have a 44" chest and a 36" waist and I normally wear a large size coat or jacket. I read the reviews and even the description which clearly states that this coat runs large see sizing chart. I reviewed the sizes on the chart and decided to order a medium size. I really like the looks and feel of the jacket. I knew that it was not 100% wool because that is also described in the description. This coat was only $34.99 and I believe that it is well worth the price. Is it perfect no, It had a lot, and I mean a lot of threads that needed to be trimmed. To me the threads were no big deal and easy to solve. I read other reviews where this was a big deal to others and they though it was poorly made and falling apart. I assure it is well made and is not falling apart. This is probably why this coat is so low in cost, lack of final quality control. With that being said, I really like the coat design and look. I did however notice a flaw in the material on the left front upper chest area. At first I thought is was just dirty but after I spot treated it, it was still there so I believe it is a flaw in the material. Because of that and it being too big, I chose to send it back with Amazon's free return, which is a great bonus for ordering clothes online. I re-ordered this coat in a small size in hopes that it will be a better fit for me. I will update this review when the re-ordered coat arrives.Follow up:The small size coat arrived today and it is a PERFECT fit. Just like it was tailored just for me. I can't believe I can fit in a small jacket again. That hopefully will tell you how far off the sizing is on these coats. It is really a nice coat and is most definetly a keeper. I also just changed my rating on this coat from 4 stars to 5 stars.
