This picks up dust and cat and person hairs very well. It's my first time using a carpet sweeper and it works much better than I expected. It is also easier to carry around than my vacuum cleaner. Cleaning the brushes is a bit of a pain, especially trying to get the hairs out but the little tool that is included does help. It would be nice if the brushes were replaceable. I don't like the idea of having to get rid of the entire thing once the brushes wear out.

l have artificial turf for carpeting on my screened in porch. This little sweeper did itself proud picking dog hair and bird seed tracked into the porch. I do not like using my vacuum out there except on very dry days. This carpet sweeper did the trick and was fast and easy to use. It isn't the heavy weight sweeper I remember as a child but this is just fine for what I need it for.

Sweeps up lots of stuff (good enough for a quick cleanup). Don't like the small stationary brush in front, so i remover it. works good on push not so good on pull.Works good to catch cockroaches and stuff. They're still alive, so I spray rubbing alcohol into the brushes and set the sweeper down in an old shallow amazon shipping box that fits and works as a garage for the sweeper.

I have been really happy with this sweeper! It does a fantastic job sweeping on both hard surfaces and carpet. It’s been especially great for small rugs that can’t handle the suction of a vacuum. The triple brushes have been getting up everything from dusty spills to dog food. It isn’t a replacement for a vacuum but is perfect for light daily cleaning and quick freshen ups for carpeting. It’s super easy to empty and it comes with a comb to keep the brush rollers clean. It took a little effort to push the first pass but super easy after that. It’s a great product and the price point makes it even more so.

Is there any other carpet sweeper that has 3 brushes? Here in Canada, we track in all kinds of crud in the late fall, winter & early spring, especially sand, gravel & de-icer used as anti-slip on ice. This sweeper is so effective in keeping our front entry clean so that we're not tracking that stuff into the house. Thanks for the cleverly designed cleaning tool that snaps on to the sweeper. We bought a second one for our vacation property after using the first one. Oh and I liked the reasonable price, too. Can't thank you enough Alpine.

back in the day my grandmother had one of these and I was looking for something simple and easy to use and a way to clean my floor in a hurry fast manner or to be able to I have to plug my loud vacuum in Adelaide hour because I have insomnia so this little guy it works amazing I do have to cut the hair out of there sometimes and pull it out but other than that I really enjoy this. Apologies for the mess around the carpet sweeper I was emptying out in the trash outside, also I found it works OK on tile floor and also some people say that it doesn’t vacuum of things on the way back when I first received this it did not catch anything on the drawback but now that I’ve used it several times it works like a charm I just gotta break it in hope this helps

We bought this for our cabin which has several old rugs and no electrical power for running a vacuum cleaner. We were surprised at how well it works and how easy it is to use.

These things have been around forever but I think they're having a resurgence because they're quiet, they pick up all kinds of stuff without clogging up their insides, they're cordless, obviously, and go anywhere effortlessly because they're so light. And they're quiet. Very quiet. You still need a vacuum to suck up the deceased bugs on your windowsills but they'll still outdo a vacuum on your floors & rugs like you won't believe. And the motor will never burn out on you when you've left your housecleaning too long and you have an extra-hairy dog because obviously they don't actually have a motor in the first place. And they're quiet.The only downside is you have to clean them out by hand, which delicate souls will find distressing. You do get a brush to help you with that though; you don't actually have to touch all that fuzzy stuff. But then again they're quiet. Actually there is another downside to this model. I have a more expensive version under a different brand name but with the same design in the body & the same triple-brush mechanism - so I'm convinced both are by the same maker - and the difference is all in the main roller brush, which in this model has bristles that are a little less dense and maybe even a little recessed into the cavity of the body with the result that you have to work the sweeper harder. I recommend the more expensive version because the few extra dollars are worth it. It's listed under the very odd brand name EZ Spares and costs only $4 more than this Alpine version.Do you have ringing ears? I do. And a vacuum cleaner is torture to me. I may even have got the ringing in the ears from my vacuum. So these quiet, cheap, quiet, effective, quiet, lightweight, quiet things are a godsend in my books.

For the first time in my life, I have purchased a carpet sweeper, which is an item I've always wanted to try out. I have low carpet in a small bedroom, so the sweeper is perfect for what I need. It picks up pet fur wonderfully well, and also picks up little bits of this and that until the carpet looks so nice. The sweeper is much easier to clean than a vacuum is, and losing the jarring noise of a vacuum is quite welcome. I actually find carpet sweeping fun and tend to keep my carpet cleaner than I did when I had to drag out the vacuum. For unusually tough spots, or to occasionally clean along the baseboards I use a little hand vac. Assembling the carpet sweeper is a breeze; it took me no more than 5 minutes. I have not used the sweeper on linoleum too much, but I gave it a quick try and it seemed to do the job as well as a broom would. btw - I had a question for the company, emailed them, and they got right back to me with an answer. Good for them! So why only "4 3/4" stars? The reason is that the sweeper does make a slight "squawk" noise when I pull it back. The noise is just a bit annoying and I'm hoping it's the result of a tight wheel. Maybe the sound will go away when the wheels aren't so new. Overall, I highly recommend this carpet sweeper! It is well worth the money, an excellent deal.
