I don't have much experience with guitar slides, but I've always had the iron or glass cylinders, and either way they've never been comfortable for me. I love the sounds that are produced with the slide, especially when you add a bit of reverb, and using this slide with the guitar resting on my lap is super easy to use and produces an excellent sound.

I'm a novice lap steel player, and this bar is very comfortable. Heavy duty and a nice curve at the front for string skipping.

Not good, flat 'top'-middle and round on the sides, appeared to be well used, lots of scratches, this is a used one, very disappointed 🤔 👎Fast shipping as usual 👍

Good for lap resonator guitar. Works much better than a cylinder style guitar slide. Easy to hold, etc. Feels sturdy and won't break without smashing it with a hammer. Which you probably wouldn't want to do anyway.

I have two SX 8 string steels (C6 and E9), and a bit newish to steal, and find this much more comfortable than using a round slide. I've played guitar for decades, including a little slide and had 6 string lap steels, but for serious lap steel / pedal steel, this is the right kind of bar. Hefty and helps with sustain, but not overly heavy. Worth buying if you haven't used this kind of steel bar before. Took an hour or two to get used to the feel of it, but after that, I found it much more comfortable and it gives much better sustain.

This is a nice size and good weight for me, I am a beginner and was a little worried about that, but it works very well for me. The finish is smooth and bright, it looks good, works as it should and I will order a spare, as I tend to forget where I leave things sometimes.

I'm using this for lap steel. It's a nice weight and the rounded lower front side of the bar makes it doing single notes easier. My only gripe, which is correctable, is that the top edges of the bar are sharp and not comfortable when holding the bar. But I will take my Dremel to it and round the corners. With that done it wil be a very nice bar and good value.

This bar has good weight and size. It fits my hand more comfortably than a stevens. It's a bit taller than a stevens and without straight edges. One edge is rounded the other is angled for pull offs. I recently purchased several costly bars. I was looking for one that was heavier than the 4.4 oz bar I was using. I seem to be on an endless quest to add greater volume to my playing and thought a heavier bar would help. I added this to my order because it was so inexpensive. The spec for the bar didn't include weight, however, it feels like it's in the 5.0-5.5 range. It is now my "go to" bar. These bars are so inexpensive you can buy extra for your case(s) or as a just-in-case bar that you keep in your car.
