I was fed up with re-stringing my Streamliner Gretsch hollow-body, because of the particular Bigsby® supplied with it. So I swapped it for this. If you're thinking of doing similar here's a tip: fasten it with the strap button screw first, and re-string (I used 12 gauge) before worrying about the other two screws. The other two screws did't quite match the holes for the Bigsby® so I've left them. A little drilling is needed for those, but the combination of the 12 gauge strings and a pinned bridge mean everything is well fastened. I've stretched the strings and played/retuned/played/retuned etc. and everything is secure. It's now louder acoustically, and has a bit more *ring*, and is lighter. Well worth an experiment.
