I couldn't get good readings with my multimeter. I think I did everything per the instructions but I've been known to be wrong.

Does not work. Tested with a Fluke and Amprobe multimeter. Different current clamps worked fine. Had mud all over clamps, appears to be a return.

Doesn’t work at all. Tried it on a Fluke, it’s always 0.1 regardless of what I measure. I am using it properly, it’s just broken. Don’t waste your money.

It does the job, but it's not a precision instrument. Despite posted answers to the contrary, this is just a passive coil - no battery, no active circuitry. The specs that come with it specify a frequency range of 50-60 Hz, which is fine if you're just measuring power line current. Don't expect to make precise measures. The noise floor (measured with a Siglent SDS1204X-E scope) with zero current through the claw was was about 0.7 mV RMS, which corresponds to 0.7 Amps RMS current. It was high frequency noise, but I didn't investigate carefully - it may have been related to ambient RF fields picked up by the coil.

I have several clamp meters including a Fluke, and these tested to read the same value. They don't have all the features of a nice meter, but they get the job done for a lot less.

For use with nominal household currents of 10-15A make sure your measurement device can read 10-15mVAC accurately. Best with AC uV meter or meter with 30mVAC full range....accurate and stable readings.

I was pleasantly surprised. I bought three for a data logger and they performed better than my more expensive 200A clamps. There may be more of them in my future.
