Tempted to post a pic of my cut finger. This thing has edges like a razor. Other than that its a well made part you cant build for the purchase price. Should come with a handling warning how sharp it is.

Really cool item. I was able to relocate my UTV battery from under the seat to the front under the hood no problem thanks to this bracket. Highly recommend.

This is a sturdy battery tray and excellent for the builder. Looking at the photo on Amazon, it was exactly what I needed to reach the outer wall of my engine compartment on my 2005 4Runner for a 2nd deep cycle battery for the 150Watt solar system I'm installing to the roof rack. The unit I received, however, is not the one shown in the photo on Amazon, but a different model that is very slightly under 10" wide, rather than 9 1/2 (no [problem-bigger is better:-). The problem is the back plate is not solid to the top as shown, but rather a 4" tall piece with holes , 2" shorter than the solid back shown. Plus, it has a lip on the end at 7 1/16 which will have to be cut off if your battery is wider. Looks like I'm going to be doing some cutting and welding to get it to look like what was advertised and work on my 4Runner. Other than this, it a very nice and strong battery bracket if you have the tools and means to alter the design to look like the photo. It would have gotten 5 stars instead of 3.

This is a sturdy welded box made out of mild steel. Lots of options when you are trying to fit it in strange spots. You can drill through it wherever you want to attach custom mounting brackets or to screw it to adjacent panels. I even heated the "ears" with a torch and bent them outward 90 degrees (parallel to the back panel) and drilled 1/4-inch holes through each ear, to bolt the box to the rear firewall. The tie-down bar holds the battery super firmly in the box, but there's no danger of warping the plastic battery housing. Be aware, if it is going to be exposed to moisture, it will likely rust a bit. I hit it with a couple coats of self-priming rattlecan red paint to be sure I didn't have any problems. And because it looked cooler that way.
