The 42 inch version is long enough that a 16 inch barrel AK with fixed stock fits easily.

Love this case! I purchased for my 10/22 Tactical w/ATI AR-22 Stock and it fits great! The 2 straps on the inside keep it from shifting during transport. The outside mag pockets are fairly large and should fit large mags. The zippered outer pocket is good for smaller or flat items. Shoulder strap is a nice bonus but I find I still prefer carrying with the handle. After hunting for awhile on numerous sites this was the best priced case for what you get. Super happy with this purchase!

This case fits my S&W 15-22 with a Vortex Strikefire II red dot (with shoulder stock extended) perfectly. Inside the case at either end there are pockets for the shoulder stock and muzzle to rest in. There is padding around the interior perimeter of the case just inside the zippered opening.The Velcro straps aren't located in the most ideal positions, but can be trimmed to work efficiently. 5 mag pouches plus a padded / zippered exterior compartment are also welcomed features. I've compared it to cases costing $80.00 or more. I'm very satisfied with the quality of Allen products, after all these guys have been making rifle cases for long time. For the price, for me it was a no-brainer !

Perfect case for the recreational shooter. I'm not on the local swat team nor am I running black ops to china(anymore),so this case suits my needs just fine. The case is well made and has adequate storage. A few reviews I read for this case said you were unable to lock it, I have to disagree. You can run a small lock through the loops on the end of the zippers which is good enough to keep out a curious child or devious teen. If you're buying this case for security then keep looking, because if someone wants in it bad enough a good pair of scissors will cut right through. Overall good quality for the price, and perfect case to transport your rifle to and from the range.

Works good and it's just as advertised. The should strap doesn't work for me. The weight is not distributed correctly and I can't carry it comfortably. Not a big deal, as I probably wouldn't use the shoulder strap anyway. The velcro straps inside could have a little better placement, but I have not noticed any issues with my AR sliding around. The mag pouches are great and for the price, this is an awesome buy!

My case arrived today, very impressed with the craftsmanship of the case. The material is thick and looks sturdy. The straps inside the case are fine, although it would be nice if the one to the right was further right so it would strap down the barrel. As it stands now, both straps are close to the stock and the main part of the gun. The mag pouches hold two MagPul mags but it is a bit snug. One review said the pouches had one divider each which essentially made it two pockets in one so one mag will go in each pocket, for two mags per pouch. Mine did not have the dividers. The pouches look like they are designed for just one mag each, not two. Overall, the quality of the material and the sleek look made me rate it 5 over 4 stars, as I am willing to overlook the mag pouch issue. Very pleased and I would recommend this product.

This was a great buy (price has since increased considerably). Delivery was pretty quick, if not exactly the fastest I have seen, but quick enough. The rifle fits well in the case; the magazine pouches need to be deeper to handle thirty round magazines properly- not a deal breaker, but they could be deeper for a better fit. AK magazines fit (barely); AR magazines enjoy a better fit, but still could be improved on. The camouflage is nice, the padding is adequate, and the zippers are very good. The case fabric feels great, and appears to be very durable; time and usage will tell. Just a little more attention to detail by the manufacturer and this case would be the greatest thing since sliced bread (with regards to not breaking the bank rifle cases). Overall, I am pleased with the purchase, would buy another at the price I got this one for, and would recommend to friends and family.

I have bought a few gun cases off of Amazon in this price range and while the others were decent cases, I was throughly impressed with this case. The case is solid and has a heavy duty feel to it. There is ample padding so I have no worries that it will protect my expensive rifle. There is ample storage on the front of the case. The pockets fit my 30rd AR-15 mags with ease and there is a front zipper pocket as well for additional storage. There is also padding along the zipper to protect the gun from the zipper. Additionally, there are two heavy duty velcro straps on the inside to hold the rifle in place while in the case. The case is large enough to fit my AR-15 with a 16" barrel and front grip. I am not big fan of camo, I prefer black cases, but the quality you get for the price is amazing. I highly recommend this case for anyone who doesn't want to spend $80+ on a comparable case.
