Poorly designed for several reasons. 1) the protective rubber is glued on with an ineffective glue. Some fell off during shipping. 2) the oversized mounting bolts are not angled to the curve shape of the Bass Drum Hoop. They dig into the rim. 3) while mounting and tightening the mounting bolts, the 2 sharp screws pass through the chrome nuts, push aside the little square protective rubber feet and DIG into the the bass drum hoop. (See damage in last 2 pic’s). While installing I heard a crackling noise. It was the screw gouging my expensive Yamaha Recording custom Hoop. Just buy this if you have drums you don’t care about. Or pay $10 more and get the correctly made Gibraltar riser. Looks similar but itis made right. I have 3 of those and they work perfectly . I returned this item.
