I ordered these to anchor a piece of equipment during its move from my garage to my shop space a few miles away. I’m definitely unimpressed by these. First off, out of the 4, I could only get a bolt started in 2 and both of those wouldn’t allow the bolt to go through fully without a lot of effort, another one I used a tap with much effort to get the threads formed, the last one will take much more effort with a tap probably after running the proper size drill through. I did verify that these are indeed 5/16”-18 and not a metric size. Second, the casting is low quality with seams on both the inside and outside, the listing’s first photo is pretty representative; while they’ve been ground barely enough to not be sharp or rough, I would still be worried about breaking a strap if I were transporting very far. About the only thing going for these is that they are priced a bit below other offerings.

These are some well made, hefty hardware. I knew the quality once I held the shipping package in my hands - it's gonna go perfect with my heavy duty project, PERFECT!

So far they function normally at modest loading. Not sure how much I trust for significant loads. Main thing that makes me leery is that the galvanized finish is quite rough, reminding me of before Harbor Freight started to try to up their quality.

I'm using these to hold strap for my heavy E-Bikes. They are VERY sturdy, and seem to work well. Took a 16 hour round trip and had no issues.
