When doing a teardown and replacement on my 04 Tacoma 3.4 5VZ-FE motor I realized that the bearings on this unit sounded a little noisy. Found this replacement by Aisin which was great because the kit I bought from another supplier was also Aisin brand. Fit flawlessly and it's a good peace of mind to replace. Vegicle had a hair over 167,000 miles on it and since I had the front of the motor torn apart and had a long weekend it worked out perfectly. Forgot the fan pulley ran on this, I thought it ran off the waterpump. Realized as I was in the middle of my teardown and quickly got this new part coming. So far so good, but this is after a few short test drives, no real miles put on it yet but I am sure it will be just fine.

Had a weird squeal that only existed on cold starts. Once I hit operating temp it would immediately go away. Meant that the fan pulley bracket was bad. This part was an exact oem fit and came exactly as it should've. Not much else to say. It's a bracket.

Part was exact fit & exactly like picture. For 5VZ 3.4L. Toyota doesn’t sell just this bracket. Slide right in place zero issues. Everything humming right along again. Used OEM Toyota brand belts (people say made by Bando, but Toyota ones do look a little different so went Toyota). Total repair was like $170. Toyota wants $500 for bracket & pulleys etc. You just need this & belts. Clean up your pulleys first as they probably have a little rubber on them. Good to go. Easy repair, only challenge for me was hard to reach power steering belt tension bolt... just a slow process with admin awkward position & blind wrenching. Easy. Pull belts, pull four nuts holding on fan. I pulled 6 bolts holding timing cover, not sure if that’s actually necessary? Think three bolts hold the bracket.
