Poorly designed since the base exposes half the mounting screws while still covering them. That means that they are neither easily accessible nor fully hidden. The light itself is fine and once installed works well but you will be cursing the designer for their obvious idiocy entirely throughout every minute of handling this product once it's out of the box.Works, looks good, but I am still holding lingering resentment towards the designed due to the trauma of installation

We use this lamp to illuminate some framed photos on a wall, and it does that very well, with a pleasing light. However, it was very difficult to install. Making the electrical connections wasn't a problem. But the instructions for fixing the lamp to the ceiling receptacle were very sketchy. I struggled with it for two hours, unsuccessfully. But since my DIY skills are limited, I asked my brother, who has installed many ceiling lamps, to finish it up. It took him another two hours to finally figure out. Unless you are confident you can do this sort of job, or are willing to hire an electrician, I'd avoid getting this.

I wanted some indirect lighting on a shelf at 8' height in our bedroom. It's really difficult to find LED lighting that can be directed where you want it and that is also 120v. These work and look great! The install is a bit funky. They come with this large white, round plate to go over the electrical box. The screw locations fall directly under a ring that must also be installed on top of the round plate. The screws that hold the round plate onto the junction box have a tapered head so they sit flush and don't interfere with the ring. The problem is, the two countersunk holes did not line up with my standard electrical box. In my case, this was not an issue because I simply used wood screws, turned the white round base and screwed into the wood on the shelf area.Under different situations this would not be an acceptable fix. None of this is visible in the bedroom so, it worked in this case. The white base is not entirely covered by the light but again, this was fine in my case. A different method would be required to mount these lights in a visible location. I really like the lights. They work great!

I compared these lights to another brand that offered more flexibility, in terms of angle adjustability and color temperature adjustability. Pricing is similar to competing products. The color temp of these bulbs is simply perfect, right out of the box: warm and natural looking. The dimmer action is completely smooth with no flicker. I, with the help of a qualified electrician, installed several of these dimmable LED lights around our living room, focusing on the various wall art pieces. I set them up with a smart dimmer switch and the brightness adjusts down to a dimmer setting at sundown. They have completely transformed our conversation room for the better. Do not underestimate the power and impact of good lighting! Important point: make sure to demo the position of your lights and mark the ceiling at the installation point before you start making holes. Our electrician temporarily wired one of the lamps to an extension cord he cut open and temporarily attached to a light, so that we could find the right position when the light was turned on. Worth the effort--we are very happy!

I purchased 5 of these (and a couple of backup) for lighting of artwork hung on the wall. Construction materials are solid. The light quality is even from lamp to lamp, both in color temperature and lumens. The intensity of light is consistent from lamp to lamp. This is important as all 5 lamps are in the same room and on the same circuit. As long as the artwork is the same distance from the lamp, the light falling on the art is of the same intensity. If one piece of art is so close to the lamp that it is obviously brighter than the others, it's easy to attach a neutral density gel over the lamp lens without overheating.Additionally, the dimmable lamps allow me to adjust the light intensity to account for changing outdoor lighting that comes in through the window at different times of the day. They don't draw attention to themselves -- the white color and small size allow them to fade into the background of a white ceiling and focus attention on the artwork, not the lamp. They were easy to install and adjust to a wide variety of angles.

The screws stick too far out of the mount which makes the silver ring, which holds the light in place not fit. I could only fit 1 out of the 2 screws tight. Not to mention they shipped a white base with a black light! Doesn’t look like much thought as out into this.Hopefully the supplier reads this and corrects it. Looks nasty

We have a huge solid oak captain's bed with large headboard/bookshelf. It originally came with brass spot lamps mounted to the underside of the headboard. These ran hot, were extremely difficult to find bulbs for, and were generally a pain and probably a safety hazard.Given the home time with Covid-19, we decided to get these lamps as replacements as a small project. From the reviews, I realized that dim-able was not a realistic option, so I got a dual rocker switch (Baomain Duplex Rocker switch 15 Amp, 120 Volt, Single-Pole AC Combination Switch, Commercial Grade, Grounding, White with Wall Cover) to replace the single incandescent dimmer that had controlled both lights before.I did run into some snags. Each lamp has a short cord that has to be wired (as expected). However, there is no side egress, and I wasn't going to drill holes in beautifully polished 1" thick oak and run the wires on top. The aluminum is about 5mm thick, so it was pretty easy to drill 1/4" holes for side pass through of the wires.I used SPT-1 zip cord, but with one trick. I used a fused vampire plug for the cord and replaced the 7A fuse with a 1A (smallest I could find) fuse. It seems ridiculous to supply the full power of a house circuit to power two lamps with a total power requirement of 14W.The switch was wired as follows: From the plug side, hot is wired to common on the switch and the hot lines on the other side are wired to the blue wire on each of the lamps. Neutral is ganged (using a wire nut) directly to the neutral side of the lamps. The lamp installation was a bit of a pain because of the semi-enclosed area around the lamps. Trying to turn those tiny little hex keys was a challenge. Also, I mentioned the engineering in the title. These are well-designed (though I knocked off a star because they are basically trash after the LED burns out). However, the tolerances are very tight, which means the installation must be carefully planned and executed. Once done, though, they are quite nice.Overall, I'm very pleased with the lamps. They are a little brighter than expected (even getting the 3,000K warm lamps), but not unpleasantly so. Because they run so cool, I could even make a cellophane red filter if needed. As with many imports like this, documentation is sparse and not very helpful. Hopefully some of the tips I've provided here will help anyone doing a custom installation like this.
