Really good pump. I was lucky and got this at a smoking deal for $4.99 but it’s worth the normal price. Used for 8 seasons and it started to show signs of wearing out. Going to order this same one due to a good experience.

The pump is for the price incredibly reliable I bought one 8 years ago it finally crapped out. We have a ton of water toys we blow up and deflate on a daily with never a problem. I highly recommend it.

Bought this to blow up tubes on the pontoon . We have a couple of large tubes, this unit plugs into a “cigarettes lighter” 12v receptacle. Inflates and deflates them FAST. It’s also small, so it’s easily storable.

I bought this pump because I needed a pump with a Boston Valve to blow up my kids' snow tubes. This pump was portable and powerful - I could plug it into my car's cigarette lighter and fill two 48" snow tubes in a matter of minutes. I only wish it had a regular plug option too so I could use it at home without using my car's cigarette lighter.

After reading the previous reviews, I would have to say that they're pretty accurate. It's small, but seems very efficient. Our new 2-person innertube arrived, and we tested out the new air pump on it. It filled the large tube to capacity in less than a minute (00:53). It is, however, pretty loud as the previous reviews mentioned, but we tested it in the garage, so the sound was amplified. I am sure it will also do great out on the water.

my 8 year old air-head stopped working so I decided to order the 'bird-brand' (which is code for knock-off) thinking it was half price why not. I can say without hesitation that air-heads are far superior and move way more volume of air then the black 'amazon' specials. In testing, it took 25 minutes to fill a towable tube where as the air-head blasts it off in under 5 mintues.

I read the reviews for many 12v plug-in air pumps, and this one filtered to the top. Everyone said it inflated super fast, and I'd purchased a gigantic towable which I wanted to be able to inflate on the water without taking forever.Fast forward a few days after placing my order and a tiny box arrived at my house. I opened the package and I was absolutely SHOCKED at how small the pump was. I actually laughed out loud when I saw it. My gut reaction was "There's no way this is as good as the reviews said", but I stomped that flat and took it right out to the lake.Okay y'all, I unfolded my new Sportsstuff Grandstand (which is far, far larger than I expected), plugged in the teeny tiny air pump, and started blowing the thing up. Five minutes. FIVE MINUTES. I thought I was going to be there all day trying to air up a towable that was 1/3 the size of my boat. Nope. That little air pump got us going in no time.I've aired the towable up about five times since I got it and I'm looking forward to many more outings with it. If I had to mention any drawback at all is that the sound is very loud and high-pitched. I almost need earplugs, but fortunately it blows up the towable so fast that it's not so bad overall.

This pump arrived today, so I immediately tried it out on my Fish Cat 4 float tube with Boston valves. It inflated the tube in no time (I didn't time it, but it was really fast). The size and shape made it very easy to hold. It inflated so fast I wished that the on/off switch was a push button instead of a toggle switch. The soft attachment between the pump and the valve inlet fit perfectly.Airhead supplied fittings for both the inflate and deflate openings on the Boston valve. The pump has both inflate and deflate connection points. The result: it's just as fast to suck all the air out as it was to put it in. That makes it feasible to carry the tube fully deflated in the trunk of my sedan, because I can re-inflate it now so quickly. I don't have to take an SUV with a partially inflated tube anymore.The 10' cord is probably long enough for most uses. Fortunately I found a 12v DC power outlet in the trunk of my car. The Airhead instructions repeat many times that this pump should only be plugged into a power outlet, not a cigarette lighter. I don't understand the difference between the two, but to be safe, if I hadn't found that power outlet in the trunk, I would have bought a cable with clip leads on one end to attach directly to the battery and a cigarette lighter socket on the other end. I read elsewhere that current drain is in the 5-7 amp region.I'm really pleased with this little pump, and from now on will only be using the hand pump when I'm out on the water and need to add some aire.

It is a good little pump for inflatables, however, I was a bit confused regarding the directions NOT TO use in a cigarette lighter, however, once I really looked in the car, I discovered there are TWO such 12 volt openings in the car-one for cigarette lighter and the other for just such an insert like this pump. Who knew? I never use these, so never paid attention to what was in the car. Problem solved. It has a long cord, so this is a bonus. You have to start and run the car during fill. The attachment valve did not stay on the pump itself and I had to manually hold it to fill it. Otherwise, did the job.

Ideal for quickly pumping up airbeds or inflatables. Not designed for vehicle tire inflation. Easy to use and good value for money. The only disadvantage is that the cable to the vehicle power connection could be a bit longer for air mattress inflation in situ.
