CATEGORICAL GRADINGPresentation/Packaging: AQuality/Craftsmanship/Materials: B+Price/Value/Worth: C+Functionality/Versatility: BInstructions/Ease-of-Use/Comfort: BMarketing vs Reality: BUtility Grade (how useful it will be to me): B(Where “C” = Average)PROS: sturdy, well padded, spaciousCONS: uncomfortable clasps, multi-colorCurrent offered price: $69.99COMMENTS: I am not a fan of storing power tools in bags or totes and was looking for something in which to store my Makita trim router and some of its accessories. This case comes with specific cut outs to accommodate the Milwaukee air compressor and batteries and they include most of the cutout foam pieces. The foam is of a medium density so it is quite rigid. It is multi-layers and is easy to peel down the layers to create openings. Empty, it is lightweight, yet it is very sturdy. The videos on this website demonstrate their strength by having someone stand on it and submerse it under flowing water to demonstrate its water tightness. Each of the notch-outs in the foam is full depth making them voluminous. Anyway, I found openings for each component of my trim router, and while everything doesn’t fit in form fitted openings, it fits snug for easy storage and transport. Very decent box storage option But, I own a quantity of L-BOXXes and this is a bit more expensive than the (Tekton) L-BOXX-2 into which the router would also fit.*PRECISE RATING: I personally would give it a 3 (decent at doing what I need, would probably do further research, but then perhaps buy again), based on it’s utility in my situation. However, if I owned the Milwaukee Air Compressor M18, I’d give it a 4 with the deduction based on the clasps.RECOMMENDATION: I recommend this storage box if you own the Milwaukee Air Compressor M18 or otherwise have an alternate use for a well made box of its dimensions.(As always, I will report back if there are any durability or performance issues with additional use.)PHOTO INFO (photos are loaded in order, but may be rearranged when finally posted):1) Top view2) Edge view3) Front view4) Initial opening5) Plugs removed6) Plugs laid on top7) Bottom8) With Makita trim router in it.I hope you found something informative and useful in this review. Thank you for taking the time to read it. Good luck with your decision.

They molded this case very well. It fits my compressor,2 batteries and the charger snug. The lid has foam so besides not moving around it’s well protected from the foam and from the case itself. The case also has a rubber seal around the lid so water, dirt won’t get inside to your compressor. These Milwaukee compressors and the batteries for that matter aren’t cheap. You want to protect them at least did mine. I can’t afford to have to replace my compressor.

Case arrives in a plain brown box in a plastic bag.The plastic seems to be strong and durable. The case has plastic hinges with metal rods and the lid also has a metal rod keeping the bottom and top together. The latch mechanism design is easy to use, not sure what to call it but it's a 2 step design.Inside you will find soft foam on the top lid and hard foam on the bottom. There is a cutout for the inflator and additional cutouts for 2 batteries and a charger. If you don't plan to store batteries and the charger then there are fillers in those cutouts to keep the foam strong. The case weighs about the right amount for it's size which probably is in the middle range of tool cases. Will definitely take up roughly the space of 3 inflators next to each other.Nice touch having red as the bottom color vs all black.

I really like this Air Compressor Case for Milwaukee Inflator: Waterproof Hard Case for Milwaukee M18 Cordless air inflator. It fits extremely well. The foam looks like its laser or water jet cut, so its extremely precise. The inflator just fits right into its slot. The case includes additional batteries and a slot for the charger as well. The foam is high quality. The case is waterproof and has a rubber seal on it and snaps to make sure that it stays locked in place when in storage. I use this to protect my investment. I would recommend this case highly especially since its a great value for what you are getting!

I like this case. I got it to fit some other Milwaukee tools, so I like that the foam is optimized for M18 batteries and chargers, but I will put something else in the main compartment. The foam inserts can also be removed in layers, so you can customize the depth of each compartment. I didn't test that it was truly waterproof, but it is fine for my needs. The only "con" is that the buckles snap rather loudly/sharply when opening and closing. They feel somewhat light duty, and I believe they are the weak link in this product.
