I had some shipping issues with this product so I reached out to the company. They were very kind and quick to remedy the situation. Once I received the the hot tub purge cleaner I used it immediately in my hot tub and it worked wonders getting it cleaned up and sparkling again! I highly recommend Ahh! Some for both the product and the people behind the brand. Many thanks!

As the name says, this product is awesome at removing and cleaning organic material from a hot tub. I used it yesterday to clean our tub before I drained it and it’s amazing what goop gets removed as the jets run.Pro tip is to 100% make sure you get that goop that forms out as the tub drains. You don’t want it to dry on the tub walls as it is hard to remove.Plus side is that you know that when you refill the tub you start with a super clean tub - which is ahhhsome.

We have hard water and this product is great for removing build up after years of use. This left our hot tub feeling like new. Best yet I have alot left over that I will use every time I change the water.

Was kinda shocked at the size of this product but it did state 2oz. That aside, it’s amazing and results speak for themselves. If you are having issues with your water chemistry, purge with Awesome then refill. It’s as simple as that- Happy Days !

I had had this thin, white, flake-like stuff growing in my hot tub for years. It was probably on my filters too. ( Hot Springs Vanguard with Tri-X filters). Apparently we used it enough and drained it enough that the few flakes did not bother me. My water was sanitized and I use ozone. The past few times I drained and re-filled I used similar products. They may have helped keep the bacteria from getting out of hand. Due to the past very cold winter and rainy spring, we did not use the tub much but I would throw chlorine in there. The water was clear aside from a few floaters. We had a fun gathering. I was HORRIFIED to walk outside and see my kids and their friends soaking in this hot soup. It was so disgusting and frightening. It had multiplied tenfold and looked like I could strain it out. The water was also showing chlorine with my test kit, so I was not too concerned about them catching any fungus. We had been seeing it for years, just not in this massive quantity. I was desperate. I had watched videos and read forums on how to superchlorinate, how to use tons of vinegar, etc. During my online searches, I came across this product. I read about who/how/why it was made and figured I had nothing to lose. I could keep on doing what I was doing (unsuccessfully) or make a change. This arrived the day after I ordered it! I put 4 teaspoons in my 400 gallon hot tub and turned on the jets. There was a lot of foam but it was not unexpected. I let it run for 30 minutes and noticed the gross ring of goo. Still not unexpected. I know how this goes. I will say that it was more goo than I had ever had. Then we got invited to the movies. I called the customer service number and a real live man answered and spoke to me! He told me to wipe off any visible goo so that it wouldn't harden while I was gone and that I could drain the tub when I got home.Came home and ran the jets for another 30 minutes. Not as much foam, but I got another bunch of goo. My filters were off the standpipes and floating around in the foamy tub.I totally wiped off the disgusting goo, drained, rinsed filters and refilled. I shocked it to help kill anything that was left. I turned on the jets. NOTHING!! Okay, there were 2 tiny pieces of that biofilm that I scooped out. What a miracle! The water was even clearer than usual. A crisp clear! It even smelled different, good. Now, mind you, I always keep it clear and it never smells bad but something obviously was off! I had been blowing off my TA and thus Ph. Hard MN water. Now I am trying hard to get and keep the TA down and keep the water balanced and I figure that should help greatly! I had gotten lazy with my balanced water maintenance. This little tub of cleaner should get me at least 8 more cleanings, so the cost is WELL worth it and I am here to tell you that this stuff works!!

This cleaner got a lot more gunk out of my Jacuzzi than any other cleaners or method that we used.I have a new Jacuzzi that I had been unable to bathe in because of all the floating gunk, which had been a light brown color that looked like mucus.*** Other Methods TriedWe first went to a forum which suggested dish soap and bleach, so we did that four separate times, and that didn't help. Then my husband installed two whole-house filters (one on hot, one on cold) right before the faucet. That helped a little. Then we bought some Whirlout at Home Depot, and that got some brown stuff out, but we still had as much coming out of the Jets afterwards as before. Then I stuck a bottle brush into the jets and tried to clean them out, and my husband then removed the jets completely, cleaned then, and put them in the dishwasher. Neither of these things helped, even though we got some gunk out of them.*** Ahh-Some Jetted Bath Bio & Gunk Cleaner (6oz) ResultsWhen we put the Ahh-Some in, it immediately started getting out gunk that we had never seen before: black flacks and also a lot more of the light brown stuff. My tub must be really bad though because when I tried to take a bath after that, I still had more of the mucus-like stuff. So we ran the Ahh-Some again, this time for longer than the directions suggest. Again, more black and brown gunk came out. Afterward, when I tried to take a bath, it I still had the brown stuff, but a lot less. So we ran the Ahh-Some a third time, this time for over an hour. (I was determined to use this tub!)Finally, I tried again to take a bath, and this time there was no gunk; however I had the jets on low. The other times I had them on high. I haven't tested it again with them on high, but I will. If there is more gunk, I will just run the Ahh-Some again. I am confident that it will get it all out, if it hasn't already.*** ConclusionI believe that this product works on most tubs with one application, but we actually bought this tub in 2003 and didn't install it until 2010. Jacuzzi tests their tubs, and they don't get all the water out of the pipes, and it just sits there. Whatever bacteria and solids that were in their water has been sitting in my pipes for seven years. Then I didn't know that I had to use special soap, and I used soap with oil in it with the jets on. DON'T USE OILY SOAP IN YOUR JACUZZI! Check the label! It does say on the Ahh-Some label that particularly dirty tubs might require more than one application, and mine certainly did. I do recommend this product--it is the only thing that works that has finally allowed me to use my bathtub. However, be aware that if you have a problem tub (which I can see by reviews of the other sizes of this product) is rare, that you might have to repeat the first application more than once or twice.*** Update -- Problem Tub Figured OutWe finally figured out the main reason behind the brown water (not the worst of it at first, but the overall brown color). We are on a well, and our water softener was not working at the time. Although we had the filters coming into the tub, they did not filter out the hard water (heavy metals and such). Once we got the water softener working again and the initial really nasty stuff out of the tub, it has been just fine. I don't think I would have ever been able to use my tub without the Ahh-Some though. I would have never gotten the initial gunk out of it. Now I use it after about every seven baths, and I have sparkling clear water.
