I use it to cover raised bed (spinach) and growboxes (spinach and cabbages) in the winter. It lets air and sunlight, and rain in, so better than plastic covering (that you need to open when daytime temperature is above 50F). It probably won't work for snow, so best to take it down if a snow is coming and just let the snow fall on plants, provide insulation and moisture.

I used a sheet of this fabric over my raised bed vegetable garden. I hung it over a set of hoops I installed, which allowed my seedlings to establish themselves and receive sunlight without heavy rain battering them or pests eating them. It even kept the deer and rabbits away!Enough sunlight and rain appeared to get through to keep my seedlings growing into healthy vegetable plants. I will be using it again this summer for my next crop of vegetables!

I’ve used polyethylene plastic in the past and gave these a try over tomatoes and eggplant and am having great success to the point where I’m leaving them on the tomatoes as a roof to shed rain and produce heightened sun. The only negative is they are fragile so I can see having to re-purchase in a year or two. Worthwhile!

I like the width, but it tears up easily. Not sure it will last the whole season.

I bought this product as it mentioned "frost Blanket" to cover my raised beds. But unfortunately, this did not help my plants at all, and day after a sudden mercury dip to 21F, I found my plants dead (RIP). I wouldn't recommend this product for winter; it can withstand the fall dips, but def cannot get winter.Quality wise, they can tear much faster, and I think that's expected from a cheaper product. I'd rather use this product to shield the plants from any heavy sun anyday.

So far the floating row cover seems promising. It has endured some pretty strong winds without tearing. The seedlings are growing, albeit slow. Rain seems to run off, though. The soil was nearly dry when I checked.
